S O N G N O W P L A Y I N G － nanobii: Bubble Beam
As PENELOPE enters through the entrance of a local diner, "K DINE", the assigned area DONGHYUCK requested to meet her at, the family of bushes across the street rustle with struggle. Eventually, four colorful fluffs of hair pop out from the greens.
[RENJUN]: So... why are we hiding in bushes again?
[JENO]: For science!
[RENJUN]: Okay but seriously, why are we?
[JISUNG]: Because Jeno the cat wants curiosity to kill him.
[CHENLE]: By curiosity, do you mean Donghyuck?
[JENO]: Hey! That's only if he finds out which he won't! Right, guys?
No one bothers to reply to JENO and continue to peek through the branches and leaves of the bush. Eyeing the window seat where DONGHYUCK & PENELOPE resided at, they all just crouch in silence. That is until a figure comes close to them.
[MARK]: What are you four idiots doing? Did I miss a memo about the gathering of the Bush family or something?(he questions as he grips his backpack straps and eyes the pile of backpacks to the side)
[CHENLE]: Obviously. Man, old age really does something to 'ya.
[MARK]: I'm only a grade ahead of you!
[CHENLE]: Excuses, excuses~(Chenle waves his hand loosely at Mark)
[MARK]: (Mark sighs with irritation) Can anyone answer my question besides Chenle?
[JENO]: (tugs at the hem of Mark's shirt, pulling him down to crouch behind the bushes) Shh! We cannot be seen!
[MARK]: (with confusion in his voice) Why not? What are you guys doing??
[RENJUN]: Jeno made us meet up at the nearby park with the Dream backpacks so we thought this was important but... (Renjun slowly stops his sentence)
[MARK]: Turns out it wasn't?
[JENO]: What are you talking about?! Of course, it is!
[RENJUN]: We later found out that Jeno called for us to spy on Donghyuck and Penelope's date.
[MARK]: (*buffering*... stands up with shock) DATE!?
[JENO]: (grabs Mark's hem again and yanks him down violently) KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN WOMAN!
[CHENLE]: (continues with the yelling) WHEN DID MARK BECOME A GIRL?!
[JENO&MARK]: (both turn to Chenle) IT'S AN EXPRESSION DAMMIT!
[JISUNG]: WHY ARE WE YELLING? I THOUGHT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE QUIET!
[RENJUN]: I THOUGHT SO TOO BUT NOW I FEEL LEFT OUT SO NOW I'M YELLING!
[JISUNG]: SAME!
[JENO]: CAN EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP?!
The boys immediately close their mouths at JENO's scream. Once silence floated upon them, they quickly peek through the bushes to see PENELOPE laughing at DONGHYUCK, who was also laughing and pounding his fist against the table.
[JENO]: Dammit... they look really happy together. (his voice saddens and lips stick out in a pout)
[MARK]: (raises a brow) Why do you sound upset? Don't tell me you're－
[JENO]: Oh god no! If anything, I'm really happy for those two but I'm upset about something else...
[MARK]: Which is???
[JENO]: I'm sorry bro but I can't tell you that.
[MARK]: Oh... (face and tone drop in sadness)
RENJUN senses the awkwardness between two of his best friends and decides to switch topics... but to what? he wondered. He looked around and noticed MARK's hands still gripping tightly at his backpack straps... backpack?
[RENJUN]: Hey Mark, that's not your Dream backpack but your school one. Why? It's Sunday!
[MARK]: (shifts his gaze towards Renjun) Weekend classes for extra credit.
[CHENLE]: Wow, whatta nerd!
[JISUNG]: Says the one who read and watched the entire Lord of the Rings series just so they can claim the title 'Lord of the Onion Rings'.
[CHENLE]: ... In my defense, I only flunked one class because of that decision!
[JISUNG]: You do know Gym and Health were considered as two separate classes right?
[CHENLE]:Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit!
The rest turn to look at CHENLE.
[CHENLE]: What? I didn't eat breakfast, give me a break! (he pouts)
