"Starcrossed Lovers. Many of you know this as a particular part of the high school experience but! Today we apply your dating knowledge to shakespears works."
There was an awkward shuffle that rippled around the classroom and the professor let his eyes rest on the most uncomfortable.
"Shakespear, you see, used the two lovers in his famous Romeo and Juliet to symbolize not only a love he had as a child, but dueling nations that were having an impact, On. His. Life."
Letting Professor ramble on, Charlie sank back in his chair letting his hoodie puff up with warm air. His eyes scanned the dim room and the neglected papers on his desk before stealing a glance across the room. A warm static moved over the cracks and holes in his chest as he gazed at the other boy. The boys papers were strewn as he tried to take notes and balance that disguise with his true mission: to keep the professor from seeing his rapidly moving thumb and the phone that came along with it. Charlie averted eyes when the phone turned off to look over his own blank papers.
Starcrossed lovers, huh? More like society crossed...
He sank further into the chair. Sure, the chair was hard and it poked his back leaving faint spots, but he let himself relax anyways. Although winter break just ended, this day was not unlike any other. Professor, like all teachers, kept talking whether we were listening or not, the broken A.C. growled and pushed out heat, his stomach stabbed him, craving food, and his gaze returned to a particular place and person. Bored, he considered if Professor would keep his promise about...
A hand shot up belonging to the silhouette next to him.
"Professor, when will you change the seats?"
The Professor paused in his monolouge and so did charlie as his heart leaped, skipping a beat with nervous hope. The boy smiled and the professor nodded and continued the PowerPoint after saying we can change seats tomorrow before class. With a small smile and questionable intentions, Charlie started daydreaming about a fire haired boy.
