Happy place,
safe haven
Engulf me
in your warmth
Clam my
restless mind
With the swish
of your tides
And the feel
of sand
Between my toes
Tug at my lips
As I breathe in
the salt
Steady my
erratic heart
As my ears listen
To the lull
of the wind
Cocoon me
for a week
And undo
what the year
has done
Pause time
a little
Silence my soul
some more
A week
and then I'll go
But return
next year,
like the waves
to your shore.
