Once I got to my room, I saw a shadow near my closet door. "Mr. Whiskers, is that you?" I ask, wondering if it was my grandparents cat.
"Nope! And why did you name your cat Mr. Whiskers?" Aloysius asked, walking into the light. His long blonde hair falling in front of his face as he sat up.
"Why the hell were you in my room, and how the hell did you get in? I have the window locked." I said, confused as to how he got in.
"You see, the thing with me is that I'm a warlock, so it was easy to use a simple charm on your window to make it open for me whenever I want it to open." He says, smirking his usual smirk.
"I knew you were a warlock, but I'd think you would have basic knowledge of personal space and boundaries." I respond, plopping on my bed.
"So what, your back now and all you do is lay on your bed? C'mon! Let's do something! You can get out of this hell hole!" He says, a little too eager to get me out of the house.
"One, it's not that bad laying in bed all day. I don't have much homework tonight anyway. And two, this isn't that bad. Three, I've seen a real hell hole, it's much worse than here." I retort, scoffing at him mocking me.
"Okay, fine. That is all true, but let's just go out for a bit. Please? I promise I won't make Mrs. Monaghan's dog fly and land on the roof again! Pretty please!"
"Just shut up and keep whatever gives you your magic here, okay?" I say, sighing. Aloysius always acted like a little kid when he wanted something.
"Fine." He responds, pulling his silver chain necklace off. "Can I keep it in your desk?" He asks, opening the left drawer of my desk.
"No! Not in there." I yelled, jumping to my desk, and shutting the drawer before he could see anything in there. "You can keep it in here." I quickly say, opening the middle drawer.
"What's with the other drawer? It's not like you wrote me or my sister a love letter or anything." He says, backing off. "You alright?" he asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I respond,
"Alrighty! Let's go!" He said, jumping out the door and a story down to the ground.
"My God Aloysius! You're gonna get caught! You know how this street feels about your family!" I yell, following suit and jumping down.
"You jumped too Megara!" He said laughing.
"True. But this street isn't too big on witches or warlocks, and they think I'm crazy, so it's normal for me to jump." I say, pointing out the fact that I tried to jump from my window just before my hospital stay.
"This is also true, but I said I'd meet up with Hannelore after sunset, we should go. The sun will set in an hour or so, and we should grab an ice cream before."
"Can your sweet tooth not be quenched or something?" I ask, knowing he will never let up on the ice cream.
"Nope! The shop is this way, it'll only take a minute to grab the ice cream." He said, practically dragging me across the street as I try to get up from falling from my window.
"Fine." I say, my feet catching up with my body.
"What flavor?" Aloysius asked, after five minutes of straight running.
"Cookies 'n' Cream." I say, catching my breath in between words.
"Every time." Aloysius said, smiling and leaning through the doorway, until his body is inside the ice cream shop.
He walked out, with two Cookies 'n' Cream ice cream cones. He strolled out, swagger in his step as if he's the savior of New Orleans. "Wow." I say, laughing at the manner he was walking in.
"What? I got you ice cream, free of charge." Aloysius said, laughing.
"You better not have used charmspeak. I know you don't need your necklace for that."
"Yup! Marlie gave it to us for free because of my small charmspeak moment."
"Ugh. Thank's for the ice cream, but I asked you to try to stay away from the magic tonight. Your a fucking magic addict." I say, laughing as he takes a small bow.
