Ace's POV

I just fucking wanted some ice cream, in order to leave I had to wait for Joker to either appear on the news or come back to the apartment. I hated being his property, more than I hated being this creature. I just wanted to go to the parking garage and be on my motorcycle and leave for a minute, a second.
Joker got back about 4 am, after he got back he told me the new partner would be at Arkham and we had control over his crew, the ones the Bat didn't capture. I nodded and immediately walked out the door that remained open. I had on my motorcycle jacket, tight black jeans, and my work boots. I picked up my helmet at the door and went to my parking spot in the three tier garage. I hopped on my bike and revved the engine to calm my head, then I sped off. Before Joker killed off everyone he had a helmet made for me, by the tech guy. An incoming call came from him I ignored it, then again. I answered on the third attempt.
"Ace, darling boy, where are we off to?"
"I needed a ride J, nothing more."
"Remember I own you, and if you leave Gotham that cycle is rigged to blow." He laughed about it, like I control you have a nice day. I hated this. I hated him. The three tone beat of a ended call made me want to leave Gotham, to blow myself apart. Joker would probably just get the Dollmaker to sew me back together, but a little more complaint.
I came to the small lotto shop right on the west corner of Gotham, paid for a cotton candy ice cream cone with stolen money and ate it slowly enjoying each moment of it, letting it clear me. Once I was done I put my helmet back on and rode back to the apartment. Joker was sitting on the couch watching to see if Black Mask had made the news, he had, I went back to my room stripped down and went to sleep.

I woke up at 3 pm, took a shower got dressed. Joker got up about 4 or 5, I told him I was going to train in downtown Gotham. He didn't care, as usual, I left and headed downtown.
I loved downtown, all the ledges and gargoyles, vantage points, with the heightened senses I could parkour. I climbed and jumped better than Robin, I was better than Robin. I was on top of the tallest building downtown, I stepped to the ledge and leaned forward. I closed my eyes and let my body collapse, ripping the air on my way down to the concrete.
