"Y/N! Niall! Over here!" The paps screamed at us as we walked towards our limo waiting at the curb. The Brits were over and Niall and I were ready to go back to out hotel. "Y/N! Niall! Can we have a few words? Please?" They continued to yell.
I held onto Niall's hand as he led us to the paps. "Just one interview and we'll leave," he whispered to me. I nodded and ran my free hand up his arm.
We walked up to the pretty blonde reporter with a smile plastered on her face. "So Niall, you just snagged another Brit award! How does that feel?" She said into her tape recorder before reaching her arm out in front of Niall's face.
"It's unbelievable. We've come a long way in the last three years but we would be no where without our fans. This is all for them," he smiled.
"What about you, Y/N? How does it feel to be the Niall Horan's girlfriend?" She asked, turning her attention to me.
"Well I am so proud of him. They've come a long way and it's incredible where they are now. I'm happy he's bringing me along for the ride. He's the greatest," I said before kissing Niall on the cheek.
"You two are adorable," she gushed.
Niall smiled and put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer, "She's amazing and she keeps me grounded. I'm lucky to have her."
"Awe, babe," I blushed.
"Well thank you for your time. I'll let you two go enjoy the rest of your night."
"Thank you," we told her before walking towards the limo.
Niall opened the door for me and I climbed in, scooting down the long seat and pulling my phone out of my purse. Niall climbed in, shutting the door behind him. I glanced over at him and smirked.
"What?" He asked, putting his feet up in the huge gap between us.
"'She's amazing. She keeps me grounded.' Nice touch, Horan," I laughed as I looked through my messages.
"Well I have to keep up appearances," he chuckled.
This is how it's been for the last couple of months. Niall and I had been "dating" for publicity. It wasn't my idea of a social life but it got me out of the house. I thought Niall was crazy when he asked me about it. Management thought it would be a good idea and I got to experience things I never would have imagined. Sounded like a good idea at the time. But to be honest, I was tired of it. I wanted a real relationship. I wanted something great.
As I sat there thinking about how I've been living for the past couple of months, I began to question whether or not I was happy with this whole situation.
I looked over at Niall and he was scrolling through his phone. "Hey Niall?" I said, turning to face him.
"Yeah?" He mumbled, not looking up from his phone.
"Are you happy?" I asked.
"We just won another Brit. I'd say I'm pretty happy."
"No. I mean with us. With whatever this is."
He looked up at me and shrugged. "I mean, I guess. Things have been going pretty smooth. Why?"
I looked out the window and sighed, "I don't know."
"Well you obviously know something otherwise you wouldn't have said anything. What's up?"
"It's just that I've been thinking..."
"Uh oh," Niall interrupted with a smile on his face.
"Shut up, Niall. I'm serious," I urged, furrowing my brows.
