Chapter Twenty Five

Concurring All?

I stare into the eyes of the beast in front of me. He grins showing the blood dripping from his teeth.

I hold Middie close to my chest.
"You can't have her!" I screamed.

He smirks and stalks toward me. I grab a tool box and throw it at him. I run for the door quickly going up the stairs knowing he'll catch up soon.

I decide to hide Middie in the closet.
"Mommy will be right back baby." I whispered to her. I grab her teddy bear and her blanket to make it seem like I'm holding her. I run out of the room and find the wolf growling at me from the top of the stairs.

I run down the hall trying to think of a plan. I quickly hide behind a random bedroom door. When the wolf goes into the next room I run for the stairs. I can hear it following me.

I make it outside to see rouges laying all around. The strange rouge comes from the house and knocks me down. The blanket falls out of my hands. The rouge notices the babies not here. It growls as I stare at it in shock.

It goes to lunge for me but Chase jumps and bites into it's neck. The rouge whimpers as the life drain's from it's eyes. I breathe heavily looking at Chase, then all around. We bet them. It's over......

"Oh darling it's not over yet." She laughs. "More will come, but we must wait for the right time." She said while looking into her crystal ball.....

Meanwhile at Ana's house the pack is getting rid of all the dead rouges. Ana watches out the window holding Middie close to her as she sleeps.

Ana wonders if she'll ever sleep again. Breaking her from her thoughts, Chase wraps her arms around Ana laying her head on her shoulder. Smiling at Middies sleeping form.

"Are we ever going to have a normal life?" Ana asked.

"We're far from normal, but I know we'll make it." Chase replied.
