It was like any other day, the sun shining down on you and your friends joking around. The thing no one knew that morning was that we were going to need our coats, blankets, and jackets for the next fifty years. The sun was going to do something no one would ever dream of.
I was walking to school with my friend when it happened. The sun vanished out of no where. I tripped over a rock at the exact moment it happened.
"WHAT JUST HAPPENED," my friend screamed.
"I... I... what?" I murmured.
You could hear sirens going off and alarms. I wanted to know what happened but I couldn't even focus on what I we doing to think. I ended up biting my lip so hard it W's bleeding,"Shit!" I screamed.
Then out of no where the sun blazed again in the sky. My friend, being the scientific one, I thought he would have an answer before I did but he just sat thinking.
"Aliens?" I asked.
"No way in hell, I might be more scientific than you but I don't believe in... actually I didn't until you said that. That is a very strong possibility, I know this sounds nerdy but what if the..." I couldn't hear him over my thinking.
Is he saying I might be... shit it happened again. This time instead of just the sun, Earth started shaking. It couldn't be an Earthquake, we are four hundred miles away from an equator.
"GOD SAVE US!!" You could hear woman screaming.
The commotion was too much for me to handle. I closed my eyes, it didn't make a difference but it felt good, and scrunched into a ball. I waited minutes before I opened my eyes again, light, no it was a flashlight. I started walking towards it to see a police officer talking,"... You'll all be fine. We just lost sight of the sun for a few minutes. When you see the sun again head straight home."
A few minutes later we saw the sun. I ran home, it was the scariest run ever, the whole time u could see children lost and people screaming. "Tom didn't your parents leave... to... hold on I need a break," I slowed down," didn't your parents leave to Idaho this morning at four?" I asked.
"Yeah can I stay at your place?" My friend asked.
"You can."
Many long minutes later we saw home. Right when we were about to walk in it blacked out again. This time we waited at least an hour before we could see again.
"I'm scared," Tom said.
"Me too."
We walked in to see my parents watching TV," The Earth is moving away from the sun at such a fast rate that everytime the sun dawns and sets it has been a few minutes to a hour. We suggest you stay underground. We are entering the Asteroid belt very soon." The broadcaster declared.
My mom stood up fast and took Sally, my little sis, into the bunker. My dad looked at me and picked up his flashlight. I understood, he wanted me to get all the important stuff.
"Tom good to see you, can you get all the food and water into the bunker, we might need it," my dad said.
I got the dog then I got all the blankets, coats, and jackets. Just to keep it safe I didn't take anything else. I didn't want to be outside when we enter the asteroid belt.
I was assuming of we stayed at this rate we might hit Saturn or any oof the other planets in the direction we were heading. I walked into the bunker overhearing my mom and dad, Are we going to die?" My mom asked.
"I don't know sweetie."
"It is impossible for us to live unless the sun's gravity pulled us back," Tom said," Even if that happens we might end up flying into the sun."
"Lets not talk about death right now," my dad said.
The last thing I remembered before I fainted was a crashing sound.
