We found shelter in a cave that we made sure had nothing in it. Then we checked for water, we were all thirsty. When we didn't find any we went to sleep.
In the morning there was tons of roars and whimpers. We were wondering what was happening. My dad left the cave and at the same time left our view.
Dad came back hours later with survivors, or were they, I have never seen them before. The head cheif, I guess, was talking to Dad. No one could hear him, Dad looked very worried.
"Well good old, ummm... man... woman... I can't tell," the person whispered," he is a man. Apparently they have been living on this planet for over fifty years. He tells me new arrivals from different planets come every ten years. At night, the reason that creature was scared was because at night these so called, big worms come out," Dad explained.
"Robert, then where did they come from?" My mom asked.
"A mountain to the west. They have calculated that the Big Worms can't get them up there."
Tom looked really scared now, he hated worms, and he hated
mountains.A Year before the disaster.
"TOM, WHERE ARE YOU, IT'S STARTING TO RAIN, LETS GO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"You will never find me!" He yelled back.
I ran up the mountain trail. There was drop offs everywhere. He could've fallen off, or worse a wolf could've got him.
That is exactly what happened I found Tom right before a wolf jumped out of no where and bit Tom. I pulled out the gun my dad gave me for emergencies. I aimed and fired, I got the wolf between the eyes. He howled before he fell and died.
Tom got up and started running down the now muddy path. I chased after him being more careful near the drops. That is when it happened, Tom slipped and barely grabbed a weed before he plunged to his death.
I grabbed his arm and pulled him up.
"I HATE MOUNTAINS NOW!" Tome screamed with fear.
"Me too, Me too," I said calmly. The present
"I won't go," Tom whimpered.
"Everyone come on let's go, we have to get there before nightfall," my dad commanded like a general.
I picked up the few blankets and coats that I got before our Earth started to orbit back. Wait were there any other survivors,"Dad was there any survivors at all? Did anyone live?"I asked.
"No," he answered.
"What happened..."
"They died end of story."
Dad picked up Sally and left with Mom behind him. I followed and Tom followed me," Fernando there is something odd about those people. How could they survive fifty years on this planet. Everything is larger than them," Tom said.
"I was thinking the same thing," I said
We followed these so called survivors towards the mountain. I was wondering how long it usually takes to get to the mountain. It looked at least fifty miles away, or is it just a small mountain? Well however far it is we need to get there before nightfall.
It was hours before the small sun was above our heads. I looked up to see that it wasn't that bright. It was like a tiny flashlight shining at you. When I saw the sun I got a memory of the police officer shining the flashlight yesterday. It made me feel sad, we were the only ones that made it.
"Hurry up Fernando!" my dad yelled.
"Coming!"
