I sat patiently waiting for my friend as she was putting the finishing touches off her makeup.
Sitting in the girls bathroom on a Friday morning wasn't what I had in mind, however a call from a friend saying to bring my make up bag lead us to being in the bathroom, watching my already pretty friend apply another coating of lipgloss.
Every since Danny Joel, one of the cutest guys this place as ever seen, decides he wants a real relationship. I guess Sophie Harps, his last fling wasn't much into commitment.
"How do I look?" Hailey puckered her
pink glossed lips, I gleamed at my best friend, I told her time and time again that she's pretty without the makes up, but she doesn't listen."You look kick ass,"I gathered the makeup products as she checked herself out in the large mirror, for the millionth time. Her expression she shot me seemed unconvinced.
"You're welcome." Trying to ease her, I grinned playfully as I ziped up the make up bag. Watching as she ran her hand through her blonde hair, which she let down and let loose today. It was long and shiny, it came down past her mid back. She had gorgeous hair that I envied.
I have black straight hair that I always keep in a pony tail or a messy bun, it was long but- I always wanted blonde hair.
Before I was aware of her situation, I always would ask why she was always putting makeup early at school, just to wipe it all off by the end of the day. It then she finally confessed that her parents forbid her from wearing it. I then learned both her and her brother both have rules they must apply too.
Some sort of strict religion that they are doomed to endure until she is 18, or moves out. However her brother, who is a bit of a cutie himself, is following in his parents footsteps.
Hailey on the other hand hates it more than cats hate water, that and she claims she might be hanging out with me too much, but she was only joking.
After her call today, not only was I too bring makeup but to also bring some clothing.
"Find something that matches my eyes please?" I remember her saying.
I laughed at my nervous friend and bumped her with my hip. She looked at me, her weak smiles and shaky hands made me think she was nervous.
"Do I look like a clown with all this makeup?"
She squints at herself in the mirror.
"Please tell me Luna, I don't want Danny thinking I'm desperate. Even though I am, but still! Goodness Luna I'm-"
"Hailey you look beautiful." I looped some of her golden blonde hair behind her ear. Haily stood infront of the mirror, having an staring eye contest with her self.
"What time is it?"She asked, checking her teeth..
I shake my head at her. "That shirt really brings out the green in your eyes, good job on the eyeliner too."
She smiles back at me from the mirror. "Th.. Thank you Luna."
I reach for my phone, which was in my back pocket of my shorts. "Seven fifteen. School breakfast hasn't even started yet."
I flipped my phone close and placing back into my back pocket.
"Can we head to the gym? I need to study the notes before class gets started." Hailey asked smiling.
