The moment I opened my eyes; immediately I knew something was wrong.
I was previously laying on my side, facing the wall with the door. The door that leaves this dark place-Slowly kicking the covers off- I begin stretching my legs. Pointing my toes downwards while I reach my fingers upwards- Trying to pop all the stiff bones in my body.
After my back makes an obnoxious popping noise, a yawn escapes my lips.
"Jesus-" I mutter while stiffly sitting up. Now that my waking stretching was over, it was time I figure out where the hell I am-
The room I was in was large, bigger than Sean's room-
The wall facing the foot of the bed has an fire place- At the moment it was dead, however it was obvious that that fire hasn't been out for too long. For embers and smoke drifted up to the chimney.
The room was dark, no windows to allow lighting in. So it was low key terrifying waking up in the some dark room.
Especially with the events from last night still freshly in my head. Or I think it was last night, wasn't it?
Pulling my legs to my chest, I hug my knees while putting my chin on top of my knee. Waiting in silence for something to stir in the darkness- shadows and cobwebs. Peering over, there was a little nightstand besides the bed. And on it, a lamp- along with some other small things I don't pay much attention to.
Leaning over, I blindly start patting my hand around the bulb part- looking and feeling for the little switch.
I gasp as the little button brushes my thumb- "Yes-" I then press the button. Hearing it click- But no light. "No-" I start pressing the button numerous times.
Me and lamps seem to not get along too well-
Suddenly the darkness around switches to light- I jump at the sudden change before closing my eyes. The brightness of the light causing my eyes to sting, they were so used to darkness.
Moment or two of squinting my eyes- I'm able to focus.
"About time you woke up-"
Sighing out my nose, I grab the covers and pull them over me before crashing back down on the bed.
"Go away Ryder-" I mumbled in the pillow. Really not in the mood to deal with him.
A moment or two later, I'm peeking between the covers, I find him still in the same spot.
He was currently sitting in some chair at the foot of the bed- Beside him is a tall, skinny black lamp with a lampshade that was worn and had holes-
