Nessa's eyes slowly fluttered open as she began to wake from her dark haze. It took her a minute to realize where she was. She was in Sinbad's bed...alone thankfully. She began to check herself over and stilled as she came to her wrists.

There was only a dull pain, but Nessa knew they were badly injured. How was she supposed to cook if she couldn't use her hands? What had happened anyway? All she could remember was Lucca and Yunan. Everything after that was fuzzy.

"Oh good you're up!" a voice squealed. Nessa yelped in surprise as Pisti suddenly appeared before her.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Pisti apologized, "everyone was just worried so I decided to come to check on you. You have been asleep for three days"

"Three days?!" Nessa gasped. Pisti nodded.

"You really must have done a number on yourself when you fell."

"What?"

"You fell...don't you remember? That's how you broke your wrists."

"Oh..." Nessa did not remember falling, but she trusted Pisti.

"Well, I have to get back to work. Take it easy!" Pisti smiled before hopping onto the back of her bird and taking off.

Nessa let out a sigh and looked once more at her injured hands.

Did she really fall?

She wracked her brain trying to remember, but she couldn't. However, she trusted Sinbad. Why would he lie to her?

Sighing deeply she leaned back into the pillows. Yamraiha had said that with some rest and visits to the palace's magician who specialized in healing magic, Nessa would be healed in no time.

"Sin, you do realize what you've done!"

"It had to be done," Sinbad replied nonchalantly never looking up from the documents before him. Ja'far's aura darkened as his anger started to boil over. Sinbad may be his friend, but Ja'far would beat the crap out of him if the situation called for it...and this situation called for it.

"YOU ERASED HER MEMORY!"

"So what,"

"You have no right to do that! She has the right to know! " Ja'far snapped. What in the world was happening to Sinbad? He had never been this obsessed over another person.

SHING!

"I HAVE EVERY RIGHT! SHE IS MINE AND I WILL DO AS I SEE FIT WITH HER." Sinbad roared unsheathing his sword and taking a swipe at Ja'far. Of course, Ja'far dodged with ease.

"Sin, you are getting out of hand. Nessa is not an object to be possessed. I understand you have strong feelings for her, but this is almost on the level of obsession. I'm only bringing this up because you are my friend and I am worried about you." Ja'far explained.

Sinbad's anger lessened slightly. He knew Ja'far was not his enemy, but it was not his place to tell Sinbad what he should or should not do when Nessa was concerned.

"I appreciate your concern, Ja'far. However, I am perfectly fine. My feelings for Nessa are only pure love." Sinbad replied sheathing his sword and returning to his work. Ja'far sighed and gave a bow before taking his leave.

"I am still worried about Nessa. I don't doubt that Sin loves her, but..." Ja'far didn't finish his sentence since he had arrived at Nessa's chambers. He went to open the door when he found it...locked.
