A/N: I do not own the picture of Hoopa, and yes, I decided to use a Hoopa gijinka as a djinn. The credit belongs to the original artist!
"Nessa, you are part magi."
Nessa stared at Lucca like he had grown another head. Lucca stared right back.
"You're a metal vessel user?" Nessa shrieked pointing to the magic circle on Lucca's sword.
"Yes, and you're the one who made Hoopa's dungeon appear."
"Hoopa?"
"Hoopa, the Djinn of Mischief and Trickery and controller of space/time magic. You raised her dungeon when you were six and I was ten."
"That's not possible," Nessa gasped collapsing in a nearby chair. Lucca sighed and patted her head in comfort.
"I wanted to tell you, but your grandfather swore me to secrecy," Lucca explained.
"Who is my grandfather?" Nessa questioned. She didn't know anything about her family. She was found alone on a doorstep as a child.
"Why me of course!"
Nessa whipped around to find what appeared to be a somewhat feminine-looking young man in a green magician's hat, loose-fitting green, and white clothes. His hair was silver blond, and his eyes were blue. His hair was in a very long braid with a smaller braid on his forehead.
"Yunan," Lucca nodded in greeting.
"Yunan...as in "the Wandering Magi", Yunan?" Nessa gaped. Yunan smiled brightly and tipped his hat.
"You've grown so much!"
Nessa remained sitting with her mouth opening and closing like a fish. What was happening? One minute Nessa was just a simple maid at the palace and now she was the granddaughter of the Magi, Yunan. In addition, she had raised a dungeon and made her friend a king's candidate.
"How?" she stammered. Yunan approached Nessa and gently stroked her hair.
"Your father was my son and he fell in love with your mother. I'm still not sure how you are able to raise dungeons." Yunan stated. Nessa gazed up at Yunan emotionlessly which made him worry. Finally, her face brightened into a smile, and tears formed in her eyes.
"I have a family!" she sobbed leaping out of her chair and into Yunan's arms. Yunan stumbled back but remained upright. He let Nessa cry into his chest because he knew there were years of sadness and loneliness finally being released. Yunan understood her emotions. He had spent many many years alone before he met the women he fell in love with and had a family with. She had long since passed.
"There. There. Let me see that beautiful smile you inherited from me." Yunan chuckled. Ness pulled away from his chest, dried her tears, and gave him a smile. Lucca and Yunan couldn't help but smile back.
"She is definitely related to you, Yunan." Lucca snickered playfully. Nessa turned to Luca and childishly stuck out her tongue.
"Yunan, why are you in Sindria?" Nessa questioned suddenly. The happy look on Yunan's face quickly disappeared.
"I sensed a darkness coming," He explained, "an evil is making its way here and somehow you are connected to it."
"What do you mean that I'm connected to it?" Nessa puzzled. Yunan frowned and glanced at Lucca.
"I'm not sure what it means, but the Ruhk guided me here. I was worried when I realized you lived here." Yunan frowned. Lucca gazed at his metal vessel before looking Yunan in the eyes.
"I will protect her with my life. With this metal vessel, I vow to protect Nessa with all that I am." Lucca declared. Yunan's face softened and he nodded. Nessa couldn't help but be slightly annoyed at the fact no one was considering the fact that she was present and it was also her right to decide how to move forward with the issue.
" I leave her in...." Yunan started. Suddenly he stopped and his face began to pale slightly. Only seconds later, a very angry Sinbad stormed into Lucca's shop. He was fuming
"Over my dead body will you leave Nessa with him!"
