The sun rose over the kingdom, a bell going off. Nark had gotten up an hour prior to the bells beginning to ring awaking the kingdom. As he trekked down a flight of golden stairs, he could see guards beginning to roam the halls and pass him. He finally reached the ed of the long stairs and walked over to a door where loud screaming and clashes were. Th door was opened a crack, Nark looking in slowly and seeing Thorla practicing her fighting styles. He turned back and saw her sister Lössi standing across the room looking at him. "Hey." Nark said innocently.

"Shut up." Lössi replied instantly. She then smirked and let out a chuckle. "Sadly my sister can actually fight, unlike you and your simple minded entertainment show." She laughed walking toward the stairs. Nark mimicked he facial movements from when she was talking then turned back and watched Thorla practice her fighting abilities. When she was done, Nark leaned in on the door and entered.

"Nice form." He said walking into the room.

"Thanks." She replied continuing her practices again.

"Fight in any battles?" Nark asked.

"No, none...yet." She replied. "Why're you so talkative?" She asked walking over to a shelf where she rested her vibro sword and shield.

"Only person here who seems to not mind someone like me to be here." Nark replied as he stepped aside, Thorla and him walking out of the room.

"I'm not a fan of your reason to be here." Thorla sighed as the two got to the stairs.

"Same, same. Just trying to make conversation while I'm being used as a puppet." Nark said with an unamused tone.

"Well if you excuse me." Thorla said walking up the stairs, blowing off Nark at the bottom of them. The young man sighed looking around confused.

"Always striking out." He muttered to himself. He looked over and walked into the training room and looked around. The well lit room had nothing but Thorla's weapons. He walked over and picked the sword up and swung it lightly, the metallic blade in his hands. "Not bad, not bad." He said to himself on his skill.

"Only if saying it were true." Torver said walking into the room.

"How'd you know I was here?" Nark asked turning, seeing the Jedi knight male with the thick long black hair.

"Lössi said to come here." Torver said with a laugh.

"How's Rook?" Nark asked.

"He's putting extraction requests in. Says we're not needed." Torver said.

"CIS know we're here." Nark said.

"We have to stay for a bit longer to validate a threat." Torver said.

"I'm just here to make sure they don't side with the separatists." Nark corrected. "This invasion will be a forced alliance granted. Most of the loyal family and its surrounding will be killed, forcing the King to sign a treaty out of fear for the lives of whoever they spare." Nark bursted out.

"You know Nark..." Torver said slowly. "You're not what people say." The Jedi said.

"What do they say exactly?" Nark asked.

"They as in the people?" Torver asked.

"Yeah..." Nark said.

"When the Jedi and Chancellor chose you, they figured you'd just flirt with the princesses, and you'd figure out something." Torver said. "Also, the general vocal public hates you...the ones that can say things that'll be set in stone an hour later. You'd be the least valued celebrity amongst those listed." The Jedi explained.

"I'm and have always been a pawn?" Nark asked with a tone of failure.

"Not anymore." Torver said quickly. "This mission is immoral." He added. Nark nodded in agreement, leaning on the wall.

"We gonna bail now, just say it's all safe...a mere rumor caused by a group of teens imposing government like officials?" Nark asked.

"Too bad the report came from Barshad." Torver replied.

"I say we investigate him." Nark said with a smile.

"I say we do." Torver smiled. He looked over, Nark walking over to the shelf and grabbing Thorla's sword and moving it.

"Can we do it in a minute? This is kinda fun to play with." Nark smiled. Torver shook his head unamused when the castle shook violently. The two looked at one another scared for their lives, looking over as guards rushed around. Soon a sharp beep cut through the silence like a scissor and paper. Torver raised his com, it was Rook.

"Captain! Come in!" Torver shouted.

"Get yo asses to the ship! Now! These ain't droids!" Rook shouted. Torver and Nark looked at one another. The two ran for the large stairs as a group of red armored soldiers bursted through the windows. Torver looked at Nark and the two kept moving as guards engaged the red armored men. A large explosion blew the two back down the stairs, Nark throwing the sword away. It landed, a red trooper picked it up but soon yelled as Nark's foot cut between the man's legs and he stole the sword.

"That's not yours!" Nark shouted running over to his Jedi friend. Torver got up and ignited his green blade and slashed down two red troopers. The two regrouped and kept running. They got to the top of the stairs where a group of men, Barshad, and Thorla.

"Nark!" Thorla shouted happily grabbing the blade from his hand. She smiled. "Thank you." She said.

"We must go! The extraction ship your captain called is waiting." Barshad said. The two ran off, Torver looking at Nark with a smirk.

"Sword wasn't yours either." The Jedi laughed. Both ran after Barshad and Thorla as guards engaged the red troopers. The group ran out and saw Lössi, Rook, and the peace keeper units running for the shuttle. The four ran out, Rook raising his rifle.

"GET DOWN!" He shouted. The four ducked, a storm of lasers flew over them. The four crawled toward the shuttle, eventually arriving to where the shuttle was. "Move!" Rook barked at them. Torver, Lössi, and Thorla ran into the shuttle. Nark got behind cover with Barshad.

"Nark Malcom!" Barshad yelled.

"What?" Nark asked loudly.

"Protect their majesties!" Barshad yelled. Barshad pulled out his blaster pistol and started shooting at the red troops. Rook and Nark ran for the ship, Nark running to the cockpit and the ship took off as blaster fire hit it. Nark got to the cockpit where the pilots were hard at their job, Torver sitting behind the copilot.

"Where's Captain Rook?!" Torver shouted. Nark looked around then out the cockpit. Rook's bright blue uniform was visible on the landing pad where the red guard had captured Barshad. A large black hole in Rook's uniform. He was dead on the pad. His final action, taking the shot intended for Nark...
