Lasers flew everywhere as the battle in the city went on. Star fighters crashed into buildings and the republic fleet was having a hard time with the massive lurcehulk battle ship. On the ground the clones and crimson clashed. The clones were aided by locals and security forces. On the pad above the field Thorla and Harvar dueled with their blades. Harvar spun and elbowed her in the back. He then readied to impale the princess. He grabbed her by the shoulder and held her. He aimed his arm blade right and lined up for a stabbing. As he was ready, Gerfar hijacked the bomb ship and took off. "What?" Harvar said shocked, confused letting his guard down. Soon he felt a gap in his shoulder. He reached over and felt a burnt hole. He turned around and saw Nark. He was standing there looking at the crimson leader holding his blaster in hand. Harvar stumbled backwards before catching himself. "What will you do now?" Harvar asked.

"Not sure." Nark said with a smile. The castle shook again as an explosion went off inside the castle. Below, the peacekeepers engaged a tank that had broken through the walls and opened fire. Torver deflected blasts from it and charged as several more peace keepers and clones were killed. Bat readied his rocket launcher and took aim. Torver was knocked backward by a shot from the tank which hit near him. He slowly got up as Bat fired a rocket and destroyed the tank. The castle shook more. Thorla took the opportunity and kicked Harvar over. He got up and kicked her back down then withdrew his blade and spun at Nark. His cape flowing behind him, ready to behead the star, Nark pulled the trigger and shot a hole into Harvar's chest. The red warrior fell down and started coughing.

"What's your friend's plan with my bomb?" Harvar asked with a smile.

"Fire it into the separatist fleet." Nark said.

"He can't, the missile is for a kamikaze. Meant to be Droid piloted." Harvar smiled. "Many of your friends have died today. One more guaranteed." Were his final words before resting his head down. Nark took out his com and looked at Thorla. He pressed a button.

"Bud, that's a suicide bomber ship." Nark said.

"I was able to figure that out." Gerfar replied. "Put Thorla on, please." He added. Nark handed the com to Thorla looking away.

"Hey." She said.

"So I was figuring, need a personal pilot?" He asked with a chuckle.

"It'd be nice. I have my own yacht ship." She said.

"I saw when we first landed here." Gerfar said. "Tell Nark to come over." Gerfar said. Nark heard it and walked over. "Nark you there?" He asked.

"Yeah." Nark replied.

"View is nice up here. Space is so beautiful." Gerfar said. "It'd be nice without the battle, tell Sledge I said hi." He laughed. "Look, look...thanks for the past few days being the best of my life, a nice adventure to spend with my best frie—" the com cut out. The two looked up and saw a large explosion as the separatist ship was no more. The two looked at one another. No words. The two just looked at one another remember Gerfar. His jokes, kindness, commitment, and will to never give up. He saw Asgard as his mark, and indeed it was. The two kept looking at one another as the platform shook again. The two knew one side had won as the blaster fire began to decrease. The platform shook again. The two realizing what was happening now that they'd temporarily stopped mourning their friend began to run for the door as a Star fighter came at them. As the two ran from blaster fire, a large rocket flew past them and struck the ship. Torver and Bat stood in front of them.

"Where's Captain Gerfar?" Torver asked. Thorla looked at the Jedi and gave him a sad look.

"Reports of the command ship being destroyed by that ship came in." Bat said. "His sacrifice was greatly appreciated." He added.

"If it wasn't for him, we would've lost." Torver sighed. The four slowly walked back inside as an assault ship flew in with relief supplies. The large vessel docked in an air field and medical aids began rushing to the city. Word reached back to Coruscant of a successful battle. Lössi also getting word of such felt relief. The clones assisted in helping the wounded, the last of the peacekeepers all walked out of the base and sat down putting their rifles on safety and started to joke with one another to ease themselves. Bat squad had rounded up the last of the red soldiers and the royal family was secured and safe.

Epilogue

The king and Queen along with Lössi all stood at the palace stairs. Clones and Asgard warriors stood shoulder to shoulder in rows. The peace keepers now in celebratory Asgard guard wear were all together behind the royal family as three individuals approached them. A warrior princess, a superstar, and a Jedi. Three unlikely heroes approached the three and all received their medals from the king. The peacekeepers saluted all three heroes of the system. The chancellor walked out and began to clap. The entire room was pure clapping and nothing more than that. The three bowed and smiled at one another.

Hours later...

Parties in the streets went wild. People were laughing and drinking. Music was blaring and bands were preforming. While the celebrations were going on, a large wall was in the center of the palace. Pictures of the fallen were hung up, and so were dog tags. Nark and Thorla approached it. Nark smiled taking a photo out and putting it on the wall. It was of the three of them.

"When did we take that?" Thorla asked.

"Sledge took it before we left." Nark replied looking over at a photo of Sledge and getting a soft smile. Torver and Bat walked over with drinks for the two.

"To the rise of a new." Torver toasted. The group all repeated his words and shared a laugh as fireworks went off. Lössi walked down the palace steps with her own drink and met the group. They were all together laughing in the court yard as the dark skies flashed with fireworks.
