Away from the forest into the small town of Ash. It was laid out like a cross the market place at one end of main street the town hall on the other side of main street. Around the cross of homes where a few other homes some of them abandoned. One with two stories and a back yard with a farm in it yet you wouldn't know there was farm back behind it as bushes had made it impossible to see into the back yard. The house it's self was made out of cobblestone with wood on the inside nailed to it. The building was being held up with wood beams. It looked slightly it was gonna break to pieces yet it was actually quiet stable. The roof had many holes in it letting moonlight spill into the inside.

Dawn's slowly comes over the forest, and as the light reaches the town no one stirs except two...

One is getting ready to go to sleep, we'll get back to that person later.

Let's go to the other one.

A figure slept on a worn mattress blinking as light comes through the cracks and holes in the ceiling. They turn blinking "Dawn already?" There voice had a heavy french accent, they yawned pushing of a worn orange cloth off him. He blinked again wide deep cyan eyes stared around the room. The walls where cobblestone with wood nailed to it, the floor use to be oak though now it was caved in and only in the corners was left, there where shelves montaied to the walls, they were very big more than normal shelves as the boy that lived here had been busy and made them wider, lengthly, and sturdyer. He did that so we could jump on them with out them breaking. His bed was on one of the more higher shelves so any one that got in wouldn't see it and think no one lived there and move on.

"Home sweet abandoned home." The figure chuckled standing up. He was wearing a brown vest, a dark cyan long sleeve shirt, and black jeans. The figure leaped from the bed shelve onto a higher shelf. His boots where resting on it which he strapped on. He once again leaped off the shelf onto the highest shelf in the room.

The highest shelf had a rusted ladder with a container and a small window which looked out to the forest. The figure opened the container picking up a little canvas with a picture of the Eiffel Tower which was in Paris France. The figure smiled turning it to the back of the canvas there was written a message 'Happy birthday Verbieten! I know it's both of our birthdays yet, uhh.. I'm bad at this.. Joyeux anniversaire mon frère! (Happy birthday brother in French) - Vernice' Verbieten smiled, his brother Vernice wasn't the more confident person in the world, but he loved the small little quirks he had. "I have to go visit him soon, I'll do it when the first snow falls" Verbieten mumbled to himself. Verbieten climbed the rusted ladder which had vines growing on it.

He stood up looking around. He was now on the roof bathed in dawn's light. Crisp Autumn air had reached the town which smelt of honey and warm fires. It would be a perfect morning if Verbieten couldn't see or hear people chopping down another tree. "They already chopped down five trees this week! Do they really need a sixth tree?" He mumbled disapprovingly. He didn't get why they need to chop down the trees, there were plenty of old trees which fall down every day with new ones appearing in there place. Couldn't they just use the trees that fell? Verbieten shook his head well at least things grow abnormally fast here. He remembered farming in France and other parts of the world out side of Ashdale. They took months sometimes years to grow, but now in Ashdale crops could grow in around 3 to 7 months and trees could be fully grown in a year! Than again things always seemed to happen in Ashdale that never could or would happen in other parts of the world even the places beside it which weren't part of the forest.

Verbieten sighed looking up at sky he saw no clouds so they could mean that it was gonna rain later today or it was gonna be a hot cloudless day.. Given the season it was likely gonna rain.. or worse hail.. Everyone knew hail was bad news , any thing bigger than a baseball brought bad luck for everyone in the forest, and when that happened everyone flocked to Lucky and the Tree to pray and get the luckiest things they could afford. Needless to say: Hail was very bad news for the forest when winter was coming up.

Verbieten sighed heading out towards Coal's Lake. No one really sure how Coal went from a new person to the forest to a fish shake owner in a huge lake which split three rivers. All we truly new was that Coal was a prime spot for more raider-y groups to hit to try to get supplies, food, water, and some stuff from Lucky's shop. Lucky runs a shop which like her name implies sells a bunch of luck items for the better or the worse. You can buy four-leaf clovers, lucky rabbit feet, and horse shoes; also you could buy voodoo dolls, a masks which if you wear and burn a picture of someone that person would die, and tons of more items both of good and bad luck purposes.

----LE TIME SKIP as I have nothing better to do as I'm running out of things to write in this chapter----

Verbieten got to the lake seeing the spruce wood shake with the dock, Coal's place. It looked alright but something felt wrong.. Every step he took closer just confirmed his bad feeling as he was the door had been forced opened..
