This chapter starts at when Melanie is in Jerome's caravan. Well she was visiting Jerome ever since the day she met him which was basically two days ago, meaning that he'll leave soon. And Melanie and Jerome doesn't want that. Who would want that? That would destroy them both.
"I wish that you could come with me, you're the only friend that I've ever really had." Jerome said smiling at Melanie. Melanie smiles at him sadly as she takes a deep breath, a sad expression comes across her face.
"I wish I could too."
Jerome grabs Melanie's hand as a smile appears on his lips, a sad smile shows on her lips. Jerome notices this look, and he obviously doesn't like it at all.
"Are you okay?" He asks softly as she looks up at him.
"No, I'm going to miss you. You're the only one that I go to when my father abuses me." Melanie said as Jerome squeezes her hand tightly, but not too tight. A type of tight if afraid of letting go of something or someone, that's how they both feel. They want to hold onto this tightness forever, but they have to let go.
Then all of a sudden, a slam occurs letting the pair know that they're not alone. Jerome's eyes widen in fear as he looks over at Melanie. Melanie didn't know what was going on, but once she saw Jerome's face, she understood. It was her, the witch.
"Jerome! Why didn't you do the dishes like I asked you to?!" Jerome's mother Lila Valeska yells out, sending shivers down Melanie and Jerome's spine.
It is then Lila walks into his bedroom where she sees Melanie. Lila has dark brown hair that is long and curly, she has bright blue eyes, similar to Jerome's. Her eyes show darkness as she looks at Melanie. Rage and horror is all that shows in them dark soul orbs.
"And who is this?" Lila asked as Melanie shifts uncomfortably, Jerome sensed the uncomfortableness from Melanie and takes a deep breath in. He wants to protect her.
"Mum, this is Melanie. She's a friend of mine." Jerome explains as he looks over at Melanie and smiles weakly. Melanie smiles back at him.
"Friend? Ha! As if you have any friends Jer-" She stopped half way through her sentence to look at Melanie's neck. Bruises show on her neck that are very dark and very noticeable. Lila's eyes widen as she looks over at Melanie. "Have you been having sex with my son, you slut?" Ask Lila as Melanie's eyes widen in shock. Confused of the situation and terrified.
"What?"
"Mum!" Jerome yells at Lila as she frowns and laughs.
"Shut up Jerome! And you." Lila grabs Melanie's arm tightly almost dragging her off of Jerome's bed. She lands with a thump on the floor as Lila keeps dragging her. Jerome quickly gets up trying to stop his mother.
"Mum! Stop! Please!" Jerome yells as he tries to make her let go of Melanie. Lila pushes Jerome away as he lands onto the floor very hard. Jerome lifts his head up as he feels his head hurting, he touches his forehead as blood is on his hands.
"And as for you, you little slut!" Lila says as she keeps dragging Melanie. Melanie is screaming to Lila to let her go, she can feel the blood dripping out of her arm as Lila's fingernails digs deep into her skin. Lila opens the door as she pushes Melanie out of the van, Melanie falls down the steps to the van as she rolls down and is now on the ground.
Melanie groans as she grabs her arm and to see that there are marks and blood dripping on her arm. Melanie gets up slowly as she looks up to see Lila with an impression of evil, an evil that you would recognise off the classic horror movies.
"If I catch you ever coming here again you slut, I'm gonna do something much worse than what you just experienced!" Lila shouts as she slams the door.
Melanie looks down and grabs her arm as tears start to roll down her cheek. She gets up and starts to walk away, away from the Wicked Witch of the West.

Lila slams the door as she walks over towards Jerome. Jerome moves back, away from his mother. But Lila grabs Jerome and drags him also.
"Why would you hang around that slut Jerome? I thought I taught you better, but clearly not!" Lila says as she throws Jerome into his room. He lands into the floor as he looks up at his mother. "And if I catch you and that slut together again, I'm gonna make you do more than just the dishes." Lila snaps.
Jerome frowns as he gets up quick enough to catch her. "She's not a slut! She's the nicest girl that I've ever met! Unlike you, you're the slut mother! Not sorry to tell it to you." Jerome snapped at his mother, Lila's eyes widen in shock as she frown at him.
She then slaps Jerome, square in the face, causing Jerome to lose his balance. He falls onto the hard ground, his eyes closed tight feeling his tears form already in his eyes. He opens his eyes to look at his mother, his cold hearted mother.
"Don't you ever speak to me like that again!" Lila shouts as she slams the door in Jerome's face.
Jerome still on the floor wipes the blood off of his lip. He gets up as he looks back at the door. His eyes shows darkness and brokenness, a frown appears on his face showing anger and darkness, his hands turn into tight fist as he looks at the door.
Something inside of him changed, just the way that Lila talked about Melanie made him change. Calling Melanie a slut when she was abused by her father and by his mother made him feel anger. Lila had no right to drag Melanie out like an dog, not to hurt her. He feels hate and anger towards his mother, sure he hated her before but now, now she pushed over the line.
And he has an idea to make her sorry. But with the help of Melanie... everything will be perfect.
