Chapter Twenty Three: Pity Party

Melanie smirks as she wanders around the room. The room was huge like a huge hall full of nothingness. Then goes with all the furniture and ideas.

Melanie sees decorations and they were truly beautiful. The walls are placed with pastel pink fabric with white ribbons laces across the pastel walls. The windows were fake windows with a background of the beautiful blue skies and green grass. There was balloons with pastel pink and silver everywhere, there is a set of balloons with the numbers of sixteen in bold pink letters (numbers?). There is a huge table with a pastel pink blanket covering the table, laces with beautiful patterns. There is pretty cutlery that is also pink to match the theme.

Melanie smiles seeing that her own pity party is now coming all together, yet she never thought that it would ever happen. She turns around to see the one and only Jerome. She smiles as she walks up to him and kisses him.

"Wow, Doll-Face. Looks like everything is coming together." Jerome says as Melanie giggles. Jerome picks up a pink ribbon and looks at her with the ribbon. "Yet I never thought pink would suit you, I thought red would've been better to be honest." Jerome says as Melanie rolls her eyes at him.

"Kids are still depressed when you dress them up." Melanie says making Jerome nods. He walks over towards her and smiles. He grabs her soft delicate hands and holds it in his own warm hands.

"I'll get you something whilst I'm out." Jerome says with a smile on his lips, he then kisses her on the lips and smiles. "Have fun, Doll." Jerome says waving goodbye to her, Melanie giggles as she waves him goodbye.

Melanie turns around to face Theo with a small smile on her lips. "This is all charming, Melanie. Dearly creative and wonderful. We'll gather some invitations and you can hand them out, undercover though." Theo says as Melanie frowns in confusion, Theo chuckles as he grabs the police uniform that she wore when she killed Essen. "We'll be needing Jim Gordon there now won't we? So, you'll be going undercover to gather their attention and handing them invitations." Theo says as Melanie nods with a smirk.

"I can do that." Melanie smirks as she grabs the uniform and walks off.

She wears a long black hoodie with red skinny jeans, the boots going up to her shin. She wears her hair in a lose braid but makes it look cute and aesthetic. She smirks as she turns around to her large companion who is wearing the blue uniform. 

"Do not shoot without my order, and give this to Detective James Gordon and Detective Harvey Bullock. NO one else, got it?" Melanie asked as she gives two invitations to them as she smirks. He nods as he walks inside,  Melanie has the other invitations to hand out.

The companion walks in the station as he holds a pink balloon and pink party invitations. He walks over towards the office before one of the officers stopped him.

"What are those for?" She asked him as he continues to walk. She frowns. "Hey!" She calls back. He then punches her knocking her out as he walks to Gordon.

Jim and Harvey notices the man with balloons, they frown in confusion. "Whose party did we miss?" Harvey asked as Jim rolls his eyes at his partner.

Jim then stops as he notices something off about him, then he sees the detonator in his hands. It was a trap and a bomb was tied to him. "EVERYONE GET DOWN!" Jim yells as everyone gets down. Then the man explodes making confetti and blood come out from the man. More balloons come out of the man, in pastel pink and silver.

"Did that man have cake poisoning?" Harvey asked as Jim turns to face him.

"Enough with the party jokes." Jim instructs him as Harvey shrugs. Jim walks closer to see a box, a Jack in the Box to be exact. Jim frowns as he begins to unwind the trigger. A melody begins to play. Then the lid opens revealing pink and silver confetti flying everywhere. A pink envelop appears as Jim picks it out.
