Willow's POV:
"Who did you read the future of? They must've been in contact with me. No one at school or nearby apart from Kedala had a NL based on my observations. If they saw me enter your shop, they must be outside right now, or at least were. Is that right?" I say, a stream of words coming out and pelting her the face, making her flinch a little. She crosses her legs, and closes her eyes. She reopens them and looks at me.
"Well, first, that guy, Tatsu, the one you're supposed to be looking for, is the one I read the future of. Although he wasn't aware of it," she starts, pointing at her eyes and continuing with, "If I look at them for a certain amount of time, I can read their future, even if they don't know it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read yours."
"Why's that?"
"I don't know. I'm still figuring the requirements that I need to fulfill in order to use it. All I know is that, if I stare at certain people, I can see the future," she sighs, taking a sip of her coffee. So maybe she wasn't as experienced as I thought. And how does she know about Tatsu? Then again, if she were in contact with Kedala, which is likely, then I don't see why not. Oh crap, that's right. I'm supposed to be looking for him! Oh crap, I need to hurry up.
"So, basically, there are certain requirements you have? That's nice. Also, about your proposition earlier about teaming up? Sure, now can I ask you something, where did you see Tatsu?" I bark out quickly, grabbing my cup of coffee and standing up. She looks at me oddly in response, and slowly realizes my dilemma, according to her expression changing from confusion, to slight understanding.
"I saw him about an hour before you walked in. So, he's probably long gone by now. That's what I would say if I didn't read the future!" she says, smiling. She gets up, grabs my arm, and drags me outside, and points down the street that says, Hugos St.
"He's wandering around there, looking for a place to eat. Walk up and invite him to the bakery. He won't decline."
"Dang, I'm glad to have you as a teammate."
"Hey, you owe me now, make sure your NL is something cool like mine," she jokes, and then I blitz down the street, feeling an odd sensation in my head. Normally, people wouldn't assume much, but I suspect it's the NL beginning to manifest.
Tatsu's POV:
Man, I'm hungry. I would ask someone for directions, but I'm afraid of what people would think about me. "A teenager, asking for a place to eat while school is session? Ha ha, very funny kid, get back to school." I don't enjoy direct confrontations with people, so I guess I'll keep wandering around. Maybe I can find something eventually...
"Are you looking for a place to eat?" a girl, with short black hair, and sharp black eyes asks, staring directly at me. My mind is blank. A girl, asking me a question. My classmates would've laughed. What do I do? What do I say? Geh, I'm going to throw up. I clutch my stomach, my face turning green.
"Hey, are you alright? I'll take you to the hospital if you want." she says, pulling out her phone. I shake my head no, ignoring my churning stomach.
"Who are you?" I mumble, my head down.
"Willow, also, based on your actions and expression, I can tell that you're hungry, also, since your face is contorted in pain, you must have a stomachache of some sort." I feel my mouth open by itself, and a gasp comes out. She's smart! She's also kinda pretty. I feel lucky.
"So...Willow, you asked me if I wanted to go to a bakery...where exactly is that?" I mumble slowly, my hands to my side, my face turning from green to red. It's a girl. A girl is talking to me, a loser. I'm so lucky.
