That time when you were crying alone, if I ran straight to you

Would you still have been by my side?

If I could, I want to say it one more time, that I really like you

My heart’s desire for you and my words can’t reach you anymore

She was standing in the busy street of Shibuya when someone tapped her shoulder.

“Kana, is that you?” she heard a guy mentioned her name.

“Yeah..Who are..” just when she faced him, there she goes, unable to speak nor move.

“it’s been a while. So what about we go to a coffee shop and discuss some things, you know. Just like the old times.” The boy asked.

“Yeah. Sure. I’ve got nothing to do anyway.” She replied back without thinking twice.

They walked the streets of Shibuya and one would think that they are a couple. They look so good together but no one can really understand what they have gone through.

I wonder where and who you are with

What clothes you are wearing, and what you would be laughing about

believing that both of you will meet again

Kana was Kei’s childhood friend. They were so close together that everyone mistook them as a very young couple. They started dating when they got in Junior High. Everything seems like a fairy tale where happy ending exists. Yes their love story was like a fairy tale until they got into high school. She thought it would last forever but in the end as expected, promises are meant to be broken. He got tired of her, then he started going out with other girls. AWESOME, right? He was a jerk but she’s stupid for believing his words. She accepted her scholarship offer to study in Australia for high school. But maybe, perhaps she just wanted to have a time to heal the wounds she received back then.

---PRESENT------

“One caramel macchiato and a peppermint mocha frappuccino. “

It was their favorite café’ to be precise. But for her, it was the worst place ever to hang out.

“This café’-freak. I wonder how many girls he brought here already. What a dumbass.” She thought.

“So, how’s life?” she asked.

“Just like the old days. I’m entering university starting tomorrow. And I’ve got no commitments for now.” He replied back.

“Freak. I’m not questioning your relationship status” Kana gasped as she cursed him in her head.

“How about you?” he asked

“Me? Just like you. You know, entering university.”

“What program did you chose and where?” Kei asked in an im-interested-tone.

“Meiji. Architecture.”

An awkward silence. Apparently, he got more excited. It was a perfect time to make up with her anyway. He knows very well that he still like..no love her. But what can he do? He betrayed her and things won’t come easily again.

“So…we are in the same department and in the same university.”

“Kuso” The only word Kana said in her head.
