Stand by You- Chapter 5 [Final]

That time when you were crying alone, if I ran straight to you

Would you still have been by my side?

If I could, I want to say it one more time, that I really like you

My heart’s desire for you and my words can’t reach you anymore

Evening passed and they were awaken by Kana’s phone alarm. She was about to pack her things up when Kei suddenly hugged her from behind. At first, she wanted to fight back but she doesn’t have any power left to do that.

“I still love you. You mean so much to me.” Kei confessed

She faced him and slapped him again, this time on his right cheek.

“That’s not gonna work again, jerk.” She said in angry tone

“Look…I’m sorry. But I’m sorry…I can’t let myself to be away from you…again. Can’t we start over again?”

“We’re over Kei..sorry I can’t return my feelings for you. Not anymore.” She said as her tears are falling from her eyes.

Kei was struck by a lightning that made his heart stings more than ever.

Kana left Kei alone and she doesn’t want to see him anymore. Maybe not now. But time can tell if by any means, there will be a miracle that would made them back together.

“Kana!” she heard a familiar voice calling out her name.

It was Yuta, her step brother from her father’s other family.

Yuta invited her to have a breakfast near their house.

“You should’ve called me as soon as you arrived here”

“Sorry..Yuta-nii.”

“Did you see Kei?”

“un- Please don’t mention his name in front of me.” Kana demanded.

“You know I got something to tell you. Listen carefully, okay? “

“I was the one who instructed Kei to see other girls other than you. He was in a great pain everytime he saw you crying. But he knows to himself that you really wanted to take the opportunity to study in Australia but surely, you will not be able to do that if you think of your relationship with him. I’ve been a bad brother to you. It is my entire fault not his. I’m really sorry if I got in your way.”

Kana was in a great shock when her brother confessed him the truth. At first she wanted to give her brother a slap but then, they did all of it for her sake.

I said I’d forget you but that was a lie, the truth was I simply didn’t want to forget you

If behaving as if I didn’t care was me, I don’t need that anymore

A happiness that couldn’t be felt when you’re not here

No matter how I try I can’t easily stop the tears flowing

“Thanks for telling me everything. Just now.” Kana rushed as she step back away from the restaurant. She wanted to see Kei and tell him she’s sorry. But she doesn’t even know where to find him. She went to their favorite café’, but no Kei. She was hopeless already as she finds herself on the mini-forest near the park and the rain started to pour again.

“You’re all wet you know. Playing hide and seek with your imaginary friend?” Kei said while he was holding an umbrella.

“Kei” she hugged him as soon as she saw him.

He tightened his grip more than hers. He probably wanted to do that a long time ago.

“I’m sorry” all she said

“I know.”

He kissed her and she kissed him back. He waited so long for it to happen again and his wish came true, just now.

“I love you” she said in a very shy manner, probably wanted to hide her embarrassment in front of him

“I love you more” he replied back. “I won’t let you go easily from now on. So deal with it.” He added
