~chapter 5~

Jaterra pov

5 months later...

*knock knock*

"Come in."

Piers entered the room, my face turned even more unamused.

"Come on we're going to see the captain."

"Why didn't you pick anyone else?.."

"would you stop crying over fin and Come on!"

"I'm pretty sure you would cry if someone you were really close to died..." Piers rolled his eyes and turned around to walk out of the room. "You really don't have feelings do you?"

There was a short pause, "apparently not."

I grabbed my jacket from on the bed and stormed out of the room. Piers followed behind me.

(At the bar thingy)

"Captain." The captain nodded at me.

"Jaterra, so have you two started to get along."

"Eh..." i shrugged and fiddled with my fingers.

"She's been moarning over finn..."

"Okay, I get that you really dont care about him, But he was like a brother to me... so the least you could do is have a little respect for him. He was a soldier too ya know."

"A dumb one too."

With out thinking my hand went smack across piers's face. I ran all the way to my room without stopping. I slammed my door and sat on my bed.

"Stop... stop being so weak..." i put my head in my hands. "Live on for finn."

I looked at myself in the mirror, "why couldnt that needle hit me?"  I looked at the 12 gauge that finn gave me when we first became friends. "I cant..." tears roll down my cheeks.

Someone knocked on my door. "WE HAVE A B.O.W EMERGENCY."

"Oh great." I grabbed my weapons and went on my way.

-time skip-

"Get in postion rookies!" I rolled my eyes at piers.

"SHERRY BIRKIN, national security advisor for derek c simmons."

" i havent seen you in a while." Chris smiled.

"Chris redfield?" Sherry questioned.

"My sisters told me all about you."

"Captain, he's a mercenary." Piers warned.

"Its okay, we need him."

"Alright, i dont wanna interrupt the dry 8 word convo you guys are having. But the b.o.w is right there!!!" I yelled. Everyone shot at the b.o.w.
