Unknown Love Ch. 16

Amy's P.O.V.

The guy stands up and walks over to me. He's a bit taller than me so I have to look up. After I do, I see the shocked look in his face. 

"This is really creepy." I say.

"i'm sure it is. Is your mother's name Lauren?" He asks.

"Was her name. She's dead." I say sadly.

"She is? When did she die?" He asks.

"Last year." I answer.

"So what the hell is going on?" I then ask.

"You might be my daughter. Your mother told me that I could have fathered either you or your sister." He tells me.

"No way." I say not believing this.

"Follow me. We are going to take a DNA test." He says.

"Wait! I don't know your name yet." I say.

"My name is Carter." He tells me.

"I'm Amy." I say.

I followed him out of the office and then we went downstairs, out the door, and towards a small building.

"What's in there?" I ask.

"The infirmary." He responds.

He leads me into the building and I see a male sitting at the desk. He looks up when the door closes.

"Hello Carter. And who is this?" The guy wearing the lab coat asks. 

"This is Amy. Amy this is Andrew." Carter says.

Andrew walks over and looks at the both of us. "There is a resemblance between you two." He says.

I was surprised that he was able to catch on.

"Well, I need you to take a blood test. I want to see if she is my daughter." Carter tells him.

"Okay follow me." Andrew says. 

We followed Andrew into a small room. It had a single bed and medical equipment sitting in a cabinet. I was a little scared of this room.

"Its okay Amy." Carter says trying to comfort me.

I looked up at him and I saw a smile on his face. He helps me up onto the bed and he sits down too beside me. I see Andrew grabbing some medical stuff and then he comes back over.

"Just relax. You'll feel a slight pinch and then that's it." Andrew says. 

I nod my head and look away not wanting to see the needle. After the pinch I felt something being put on my arm and I see that it's a bandage. I look over at Carter and see that he's also getting some blood pulled out. After Andrew gets the blood he leaves. A few minutes later, Andrew comes back.

"Well? What do the tests prove?" Carter asks.

"She is your daughter." Andrew replies.

I didn't say anything, I was shocked. 

"So...the man that I thought to be my father isn't?" I questioned more to myself than the two guys that were sitting in the room. 

I hear a slight growling sound coming from Carter. I see that he looks really pissed off. I get off the bed quickly and move away from him but it only causes him to get even more angry. 

"Carter, calm down." Andrew tells him.

Do I do something to help out or do I just stand in the corner like an idiot?
