Akari yawned as she entered the grounds of the location of the entrance exam. She wore her school uniform - much to her displeasure, the uniform wasn't very well crafted in her opinion and she would've rather worn the boy's uniform. Alas, she wasn't allowed to so she had to make do with the disgusting girl's uniform.
"Aye, Izu-kun, what's up?" Akari said as she spotted Midoriya.
"Oh hi, Akari! Long time no see!" Akari chuckled.
"Aye, excited?"
"Uh, y-yeah!"
"Stupid deku," they looked behind them to see Katsuki approaching them.
Midoriya said "Kacchan."
"Get out of my way now or I'll set you on fire," Katsuki stated, Midoriya quickly moved out of the way while the blonde-haired boy passed him, grabbing onto Akari's wrist and dragging her along.
"Aye? Katsu!" She said as she was being dragged away. "See ya, Izu-kun! O-ow! That hurts, Katsu! What's your problem?"
She walked beside the angry boy who didn't say anything. She sighed, and mumbled "Aye, grumpy pants," he just growled, not saying anything.
Akari was seated next to Katsuki and a random guy, beside Katsuki was Midoriya. "What's up, U.A candidates? Thanks for tuning into me, your school DJ! Come on, and let me hear ya!" Present Mic said.
Silence came, Akari would've answered if it wasn't for the fact Katsuki was covering her mouth to shut her up. "Keeping it mellow, huh? That's fine, I'll just get to the main show. Let's talk about how the practical exam is going to go down, Ok? Are you ready?"
Once more, silence filled the room while Akari helplessly try to get out of Katsuki's grip. Only to have to give up. Akari sighed as she slouched, Katsuki commented quietly "Idiot," a vein popped on Akari's head but she didn't say anything.
Meanwhile, Midoriya was muttering things under his breath. "Oh my goodness, it's the voice hero Present Mic! So cool!" he gasps. "I listen to his radio shows every day of the week!" he began to ramble on.
Akari and Katsuki just said "Will you shut up?"
"Like your applications says! Today, you rocking boys and girls will be out conducting ten minute mock battles in super hip urban settings! After I drop the mic here, you'll be heading over to your specified battle fields, sound good?"
Silence filled the room. They looked at their IDs, "I see, they're splitting us up so we can't work with any of our friends," Katsuki said, looking over at Akari's and Midoriya's IDs.
Akari was in battle field E, Katsuki in A and Midoriya in B. "Aye, you're smarter than I thought, Katsu."
"I told you I wasn't an idiot!" Akari just chuckled. "But this sucks," he mutters, mostly to himself.
He wanted to be in the same battle field as Akari - just to watch her in battle and make sure she would be fine. Despite knowing that she can defend herself, he still couldn't help but worry about her.
"Ok ok, let's check out your targets! There are three types of faux villains in every battle centre, you'll earn points depending on their level of difficulties, so you better choose wisely! Your goal in this trial is to rise your score by shredding these faux villains like a mid-song guitar player! but check it! Make sure you keep things heroic, attacking other U.A examinees is a no-no, you dig?"
A boy stood up with his hands raised. "Excuse me, sir, but I have a question."
"Hit me!"
"On the printout, you've listed four types of villains not three. With all respect, if this is a mistake in official U.A material, it is shameful! We are exemplary students, we expect the best from Japan's most notable school! A mistake such as this will not do!" Then the boy turned around and pointed at Midoriya. "Additionally, you with the unkempt hair! You've been muttering this entire time, stop that! If you can't bother to take this seriously, leave! You're distracting the rest of us!"
"Aye, says you, glasses boy!" Akari insulted. "If you really want to become a hero, then learn to ignore such distracting things. If you can't even keep your mind in the gutter, then what are you good for? And what does it matter to you if someone's just here for fun and games? Nothing, so shut your hellhole," Akari said, glaring at the boy.
A couple of laughs went around the room as the two glared at each other.
"Alright alright," Present Mic said, breaking the tension. "Examinee 7111, thanks for calling in one of your requests. The fourth villain type is worth zero points, that guy is just an obstacle that we will be throwing your way. There's one in every battle centre. Think of it as a hurdle you want to try to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's got... A no point. A recommend ignoring it and focus on the top of the charts!"
The boy bowed, "Thank you very much! Please continue!" and the boy sat down.
"That's all I got for you people today! I'll sign off with a little present, a sample of our school motto. As General Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down. 'A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes.' Uh huh, now that's a tasty sell bite. You're ready to go beyond? Let's here a Plus Ultra!"
A grin came across Akari's face. Aye, now everything is going to begin.
"Good luck!"
Aye, but I won't need it.
In Battle Centre E, Akari was standing at the front gate of her battle centre. She was wearing a black tracksuit outfit, her long black hair tied into a high ponytail with a small earpiece in her ear that she got from her boss. She stretched her limbs and body, getting ready for her battle against the faux villains. Aye, this should be a piece of cake. They're nothing like real villains. The gate open and she ran inside without any hesitation, immediately smashing the first robot she saw with her fists. Just enough to make it go kaboom. She spent the time running around, smashing every villain in sight before anyone else could take it.
In only five minutes, she had already got 120 points. Her fists had some blood dripping from them, but it only stung her slightly, they weren't fatal. She didn't want to use her quirk in fear that anyone would recognise them as Seeker's quirk, so she was limiting herself to only using her fists. She was about to go hunting some more, however, before she could, a voice came from her earpiece.
"Oi, Akari. I think that's enough hunting, if you keep going, there won't be any villains for the other candidates to get. Remember, you're just going undercover, so even if you don't kill any, you'll still get in anyway."
"Aye, then why didn't you say so earlier? Never mind, I would've kill some anyway, I am bored after all."
"Hehehe, well, bye."
"Aye!"
She lost connection with the boss, or rather, the boss wouldn't respond to her calls. She sighed, I guess I'll do as the boss says then. She spent the next five minutes watching the other candidates in boredom, I wonder how Izu-kun and Katsu are doing, I'm so bored.
It wasn't long before time was up and they were called out of the battle centre.
It was a week since the examinations, and the results still hadn't came in yet. Akari wasn't worried about a thing, since she knew she was going to get in no matter what - every pro hero practically knew of her existence anyway so they knew of her skills and know she would make a great hero that should be put to good use.
For the week, she healed her bloody knuckles and spent the time lazing around in her house - doing house chores for reasons unknown, doing stupid things and other whatnot.
An hour later, she had received her acceptance letter and was unsurprised when she learned that she had taken first place, and the runner up was Katsuki. Aye, that was expected of him. Meaning, he's passed. Her eyes scanned through the rankings, her eyes landing on the name Midoriya. Aye, and Izu-kun had passed as well.
Things are going to get interesting now.
