Httyd Truth or Dare (Race to the Edge) Tuffnut x Reader (kind of)

Chapter 2

"Really? Oh, come on!" Snotlout complained loudly. You knew the twins had an argument with Snotlout earlier on in the day, so no doubt Ruffnut would want to suggest something horrible.

"You better believe it, Snotlout," replied Ruffnut evilly. "Prepare yourself for some revenge!"

"Oh man," Snotlout groaned, wincing slightly.

"Truth, or dare?" Challenged Ruff. "Or are you too scared? You know you can back out now-"

"Dare. I'm not a wimp, Ruffnut," said Snotlout.

"Could've fooled me," whispered Ruff quickly to her brother, who sniggered. But before anyone comment, Ruff loudly said "Okay, Snotlout, I dare you to-"

"Jump off a cliff?" suggested Astrid, sounding hopeful. You looked over at Snotlout, who didn't laugh with the others. You didn't laugh either; you felt like he was quite a target for mockery. You gave him a little thumbs up when he glanced at you, and the corner of his mouth lifted up in a small smile of recognition.

"No, but I dare you to put this fireworm down your trousers for TWENTY. SECONDS." Ruffnut brought a tiny, glowing amber dragon from her helmet, who took one look at Snotlout and appropriately set itself on fire.

"Woah, sis, where did you get that?" Tuffnut's eyes widened and he reached over Snotlout, stroking the dragon's fiery back quickly, waving his hand around after he had reached it's tail. "No way!" Snotlout raised his voice a little. "Think of something else!"

"You know the rules Snotlout, you do it or you're out the game." replied Ruffnut. Everyone stared at him expectantly as Snotlout winced and reached out his hand. Ruffnut tipped the dragon out of her helmet, and Snotlout took it gently. He stared at the dragon for a couple of seconds. His hand was shaking, and suddenly his reflexes got the better of him and the little dragon went flying across the room with a small squeal. You jumped up and caught it before it hit the wall. You could feel the heat burning through your hands so you quickly flew over to Ruffnut and put it down in her helmet. It chirruped a 'Thankyou' at you as you sat back down. "You wanna try that again Snotlout?" Asked Ruffnut carelessly. You could feel Tuff's eyes still on your wings and it was making you uncomfortable, so you folded them back in as casually as you could. He knew you had them, but when you used them he couldn't get over it.

"Uh, no!" shouted Snotlout. His loud voice jerked you out of your thoughts and Tuff's head snapped round too. You looked up at Snotlout from staring at the ground as he spoke again in a loud tone of finality. "Snotlout is outlout!" He went and sat out next to Hookfang.

"Already, Snotlout?" teased Hiccup as the twins laughed triumphantly. "Haha, wimp!" giggled Ruffnut heartlessly.

"No, not wimp, it's called being sensible!" he responded defiantly as the giggles subsided. You couldn't help but agree with him; it was a pointless infliction of pain.

"Okay, I'm spinning now," said Heather, drawing everyone's attention to the spinning stick. It was almost hypnotic.

"Yes!" the spin ended, pointing to Tuffnut. "I finally get to do something!"

"We're only a little way through the game," Heather pointed out. "Anyway, truth or dare, Tuff?"

"Dare, obviously. Hit me with it, H! Wait no... H is Hiccup. I'm just gonna have to call you Heather..."

"I'm okay with that, Tuff. Not really a fan of nicknames. So, I dare you to..." she paused and looked round for inspiration. I followed her line of sight, which stopped on Macey. "Okay, I dare you to throw Macey of that cliff!"

Tuff's expression turned to one of horror as he grabbed Macey and hugged her tight.

"Andddddd Tuff's out," commented Snotlout, examining his fingernails.

"Ha, he'll never do it," agreed Astrid. You looked over and saw Tuff's expression hardening determinedly. You guessed that he probably wanted to prove Snotlout wrong more than anything. He looked sadly at Macey, then stood up with a sigh. "I hate you Heather. Just completely 102% hate you. That's a lot of percents. No more percents to be had." He walked slowly towards the cliff, and everyone scrambled to get up, curious to see if he would actually do it. You looked at Lorelei, who shrugged and snuggled closer to Toothless. Toothless smiled and rubbed his head on her chin. You rolled your eyes; you didn't get how love worked. You got up and walked over to Tuff and the others, where he held Macey precariously over the cliff edge. Suddenly he yelled "I'm so sorry Macey!" and closed his eyes, letting his grip around her loosen. 'She' fell swiftly to the ground where she got stuck in the stones. Ruff put her hand on Tuff's shoulder and said in amazement "Woah! I didn't think you had it in you! Now go get her." She shoved him and he fell face first of the edge. Hiccup reached forward in an attempt to grab him but he missed, so you opened your wings and dived off the cliff. You reached him, but he was too close to the ground to just grab him by the hand, so you wrapped your wings around him like you had seen Toothless do to save Hiccup. Your side hit the ground but it didn't hurt that much, so you rolled a couple of times then opened your wings, Tuff lying right next to you. You were out of breath but you stood up anyway, pulling Tuff up. You picked Macey up and brushed the dirt off her handle, then handed it over. Looking at his face, you realised he was staring at your wings again. Your forehead creased and you bit your lip. "So how do we get back up?" You asked, trying to distract him. You didn't really like how he stared; he didn't do it in a rude way, but he always looked really concentrated when he did, and you didn't understand. "I don't really know, but I do know I'm gonna get Ruff back." He looked at Macey and wiped dirt off her spikes. You suddenly flew toward him, grabbed him round the middle and flew up the cliff face, landing neatly next to Astrid. "You guys okay?" she asked, looking mildly concerned, but not too worried. She knew you well enough to know you were pretty resistant to pain. "Yeah, I'm fine," you said casually, letting go of Tuff, who seemed a little winded. You found that mildly funny and smiled to yourself.

"If everyone's okay, can we go back in and carry on playing? I wanna see which one of you loses next," whined Snotlout. "Sure. C'mon guys," said Hiccup, running back into the hut, the rest of us following close behind.
