"Don't look down. Just jump."

He called to her from below.

"But it's so far down, what if you can't catch me?"

She stood on the very edge, trying not to fall.

"I will always catch you."

There was something about his eyes, his voice. The way he looked at her; so certain.

She hesitated a moment.

"Promise me? Promise me you'll catch me?"

"Have I ever let you fall before?"

In that moment, that was all she needed. Eyes closed, arms outstretched; she pushed off the ground and let herself fall, trusting that he'd be there to catch her.
