Another day, another pointless, humiliating day. They laugh at me, ridicule me, torture me because I'm different. Just because I pass subjects they are to stupid to. It's down right pathetic, yet everyday the torture continues.

The halls crowd with familiar faces.

You see, I do not even look like a 'geek' or 'nerd' or whatever; it is simply because I actually understand things they are to thick to realise.

Like who doesn't know that the differentiation of y = cosx is dy/dx = -sinx? Or that Scotland is trying to get independence from the UK? Heck, do they even know who the president of the USA is? You would be surprised!

I don't brag about how smart I am, honestly. It's just when you go to a school here, with over 119 students in 6th year and you are one of only 10 sitting Higher Maths, it says a lot. Oh and I am also the only one actually passing. So yeah.

“Lucas Hemmings... just the man I wanted to see.” a hand clamps down on my shoulder. I roll my eyes.

“It's just Luke.” I turned round to be faced with Ryan and suddenly I lost all confidence. Not that I had much to start with to be fair.

“I don't care. Look, I need you to swap seats with me in English.” I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Why does he need to switch seats with me. I like my seat: It's next to the window at the front. “There is this slight chance I might have cheated on Kelly.” Okay now it makes sense. Ryan sits – or used to sit – next to Kelly, his girlfriend.

“O-okay...” I swallow hard and flinch as he slaps my cheek lightly.

“Good geek. Now go on. Don't you have a teacher to suck off?” He laughed as I scurried away quickly not looking back.

I hated this life. I just want someone to come and take me away.

Sooooo it's really short. Like shorter than my attention span. But i hope you like it. It's just an introduction.

You always see nerdy luke fanfics where he falls madly i love with the popular girl who just happens to fancy him, like seriously? Is that realistic? No. So this will be different i promise. I do enjoy making my stories just something special.

So vote and comment. Let me know if you actually want me to write this or do something completely different!  I'm open to ideas but i have to say i am excited for this.
