Okay that works too "I'm coming!" I yell back to my "dad" he doesn't deserve to be called my dad. He has abused me ever since I was 10 so I've learned to cover my bruises and scars.

I run down the stairs two at a time "Bye dad" I say sarcastically while walking out the door and running to school as fast as my little legs can carry me.

I run into the school and run down the hallway to get to my locker.....then I ran into a wall *face palm* wait! When where walls warm? And when did they start breathing?!

I look up at the one and only Ryder Woods! Aka schools bad boy. Great. Just fucking great.

~RYDERS POV~

I feel a small body slam into mine then disappear. Then I smelled the best smell in the word. Vanilla. Then I hear my wolf whisper "MATE!" Mate? Mate! I found my mate! Shit I forgot she's on the floor!

I put my hand out to help her up and she takes it. Yep that's my mate. I could feel the connection. I know she can't but she will soon.

"I-I'm sor-ry" the pretty blonde girl says quietly. Awww her voice is so cute! "The nerd is stuttering again" I hear Adam say behind me and I let out a growl only he can hear and mind link him "My mate back the hell off!" With the orders from the upcoming alpha aka me he shuts up.

"Don't worry about it. All good" I say smiling at her "What's your name?" I ask trying to make her look up from the ground. "Emily" she says still looking at the ground.

"Im Ryder. And you're gonna hang out with me from now on okay?" I say. Yep that got her to look at me real quick "Okay" she says like she knows she's getting herself into trouble.

Wonder what that's about? "Well come on Em let's go to class" I say smiling about to put my arm around her shoulder but she flinches away. My smile falls and I look at her but she's already speed walking away?

New mission. Get information from alpha about mate.

I walk into class and sit behind Emily so I can keep an eye on her.

~BACK TO EM~

Dad isn't gonna like this! He's gonna beat me! Oh I'm so fucking dead! I have to make Ryder not want to talk to me! My life lit-

"MRS. LOUIS SINCE YOURE PAYING SO MUCH ATTENTION WHY DONT YOU ANSWER THIS QUESTION?" My English teacher Mrs.Smith yells with sarcasm. I look at the bored. Shit. I can't even read that. Oh no here comes the embarrassment!

"I don-t kn-now" I say stuttering I should really work on my talking skills "Mrs. Smith. I don't think the freak can answer any question without stuttering. She's just too pitiful."

Between my beating last night and this I can't take it any more. I need to talk to my mom. Right now. I grab all my stuff and run out of the class room ignoring the protest of the teacher.

I run as fast as I can to the cemetery and sit next to my moms grave leaning against her head stone.

"Mom, I need you." I say as I start crying "Dads drinking has gotten worse so have his punches and abuse. I can't take it anymore. I just want a normal life. I want to have a perfect life like all the other girls who have nice dads. I'm sorry you died mom, it was my fault"

I feel around in my bag searching for my only friend right now. Yep there it is. I pull out the razor I put in my bag this morning and slide it across my wrist letting the blood drip on the ground. Then I cut again, again, and again. I cut until I couldn't feel anything.

But what scared me was the voice I heard "Emily?!" that's all I heard before my world went black.
