CHAPTER FORTY-SIX
"Power to the People,"

Betty shrugged on her jacket and gently placed the flashdrive in her pocket.

"I'm going to get this to my mom. I'll keep you guys posted," Betty said before leaving the garage.

Kevin looked at the group and inhaled deeply.
"I'm gonna get going to, I'll see you guys at school." Kevin said also exiting the garage and leaving Veronica, Archie, Jughead and Marley.

Jughead, Archie and Veronica started talking about something but Marley wasn't listening. The only thing she could hear was the blood pounding around her body.

Marley still couldn't believe what she had just watched and looked at the writing on her palm repeating the three words over and over again in her head. Jughead noticed Marley was tense and stood up from the couch.

"Marley and I are going to head to Pop's," Jughead said and Marley's head shot up at the mention of her name.

"We are?" Marley asked and Jughead nodded before sticking his hand out and Marley took it.

The two of them left the garage and walked in silence to Pop's. When they arrived the both of them slid into a booth. Marley didn't look at Jughead. Her gaze was focused on the words on her palm.

"Everything alright?" Jughead asked Marley worry lacing his tone and she looked at him before forcing a small smile.

"Everything is fine," Marley said saying the words that was written on her palm. She looked backed down at her hands while Jughead just looked at her.

"I'm sorry, Ro," Jughead said and Marley looked up from her hands.

"Why are you sorry?" Marley asked and Jughead sighed.

"I've treated you like shit these past few days. When you've done nothing but try to help me. The way I talked to you in the hall was unnecessary. I've been such a shit boyfriend. I'm so sorry, Rose," Jughead said and Marley shook her head.

"No. I should be apologising. I'm sorry, J." Marley said and Jughead raised and eyebrow at her.
"What?" Jughead asked her confused and Marley sighed.

"For being a shit girlfriend." Marley said and Jughead looked at her with a baffled expression on his face.

"When have you ever been a shit girlfriend?" Jughead asked and Marley scoffed before looking down at her hands.

"I threw you a party you didn't want. I dragged you into the mess with my mom. I made you call her. I made you feel like you were one of my projects and I thought you and your dad were murder suspects-" Marley said tearing up but she was interrupted by Jughead.

"Hey, hey," Jughead began taking her hand and interlocking their fingers.

"You've been a much better girlfriend than you think you have. The best. You threw me a party because you wanted to make me feel special, you didn't drag me into the mess with your mom I wanted to help you. You argued with Sheriff Keller to prove my innocence when I was arrested, you took Jason's jacket from me so my fingerprints won't get on it. And right now you just proved you would go to hell and back to prove my dads innocence. Rose, you are the best girlfriend anyone can have. You are the best thing that's happened to me," Jughead said genuinely and Marley pulled one hand away to wipe a stray tear.

"After homecoming. I went to the bus station and I bought a ticket to Toledo. Where my mom is. I called her to tell her I'm coming and she said I couldn't. It crushed me. My own mother not wanting me. In that moment it felt like I had no one, but I had Archie, Betty and Veronica I guess and most of all I had you. I've always had you. Since you've come into Riverdale you've been there for me. Marley Rose Davis I'm so so so happy that you are in my life," Jughead continued and Marley blinked back tears.
