"Just hold on a 'sec," The Doctor took out a chunky pencil-thing and examined each Beatle with it. It glowed blue and made weird buzzing noises.
"What's that?" Ringo went cross-eyed as he looked at the pencil, which was right in his face.
"A sonic screwdriver," The Doctor replied casually.
"Who has a sonic screwdriver?" John looked confused as to why someone would want one.
"I do!" The Doctor pointed out.
"Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, 'Ooh, this could be a little more sonic'?" John joked.
"What, you've never been bored?" The Doctor protested, "Never had a long night? Never had a lot of cabinets to put up?"
"Yeah, but what are you doing all this for?" Paul saved John, who was a bit frightened of The Doctor now.
"Just checking you over," The Doctor turned back to the controls of the TARDIS. "Which is just as well I did."
"Why's that?" George asked.
"Turns out those fangirls weren't really fangirls after all," The Doctor replied gravely.
