The Allotted Plots.
-THE PRESENT-
Defeat.
Burn.
Slay.
Three words. Three words that had been engraved deeply into my skull.
Defeat, Burn, Slay.
I was swinging my sword in my right hand, doing all types of tricks I had learnt. The large-scale swaying manoeuvres I did since the past four years were kinda crazy, coming to think about it.
The past four years.
I might say that the last four years were the roughest years of my entire life, but nope. Rough is still, a very gentle word.
These four years were severely cruel. Merciless. Unpleasantly rough and jarring to the senses.
You got the idea.
I was currently strutting my way through the quarters, making my way over to boss' office.
"Where you think you're going?"
I whip my head sideways as I recognize the familiar voice right away. A smirk formed on my lips as I brought my sword forward, swinging it I jammed the sharp edge of the weapon into Deegan's collar shirt. His back hit the wall behind him as his eyes widened only for a second before his own mouth formed his infamous smirk.
"How many times should I tell you to mind your own business, Steel-eye." I looked straight into his grey, explosive eyes.
His smirk didn't waver a single bit as he brought his face extremely close to mine, "You want me to mind my own business.. Then don't ask me to take care of your's Doofle!" He suddenly caught my hand that held the sword, and catching me completely off-guard, I fell to the ground while he stood above me, his foot on my left leg as he dangled the sword in his hand. A sense of pride and victory radiating off of him like smoke come's out from fire.
I grumbled as I pushed his leg off of me, making him laugh.
"Shut up." I try snatching my sword back, "And tell me, when have I ever asked you to take care of business?" I dramatically paused, "Just a note though, my business isn't yours; so unless your my thong, don't be up my ass." I grumbled as I finally took my blade out of his grasp.
"Oh don't be like that Doofle." He ruffled my hair playfully. I swatted his hand away.
"Don't call me that."
"No promises." He smiled. I glared back at him.
"What are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be out with Brett and the others for the task-"
"Yeah I was just about to leave. Where are you heading though?" He cut me off, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"I got notified to be seen in Boss' office. I don't know what's the deal. I was heading there while you decided to show up." I say.
"So you're saying you weren't happy to see me?" He tries making a puppy face, but fails miserably making me laugh.
"Nope." I wink, "Gotta go though. I'm already running late."
Now if you're wondering, Deegan was my fellow companion in training. He was probably the only one out of the entire quarters who had this happy, positive aura around him. But that was only when he was around other members. He was a total beast on the grounds.
