COLBY POV

--TIME SKIP TO NEXT DAY BROUGHT TO YOU BY CASTIEL NOVAK--

I heard a whimper from the basement door, sounded like crying.
I currently sat in the living room reading a book, listening to music alone.
I didn't want to check, I wondered how long it would be until Sam killed me and replaced me with the boy down stairs, jealousy peaked in me, why am I jealous? I question myself, why should I care, he's crazy, good luck to that kid.
I scoffed.
I kinda felt bad for the kid I mean, I didn't know what they looked like, gender, or age, but I know how it feels to be down their.

Sam was sat next to me, I was tucked into his side. He liked me to be close to him, I felt relaxed with him, I knew I shouldn't.
"Will you cut him?" I asked Sam, why do I care?
"No, I don't like him" Sam replied
"Why did you take him?" I asked again, I felt as if I was pushing it, but he didn't mind the questions sometimes,
"The thrill of the kill" He responded.

Three hours later Sam had left and let me stay out of my cage, he said it was only because of the boy. Didn't want him getting any ideas Sam said.

My curiosity got the best of me, I walked towards the basement door, I followed the steps down to the cages I dreaded.
The boy had blonde hair, brown eyes, ripped clothes.

"Please you have to help me" the boy pleaded, I felt bad, but made no move to help him.
"No" I said, sounding cold.
"Why?" The boy questioned, I just scoffed and left.

After I left, I headed back to the living room, and waited for Sam.
It came to my attention that I was jealous, I would have helped him, the kid probably deserved it.

How could I say that?!
He's around my age, I should have helped him, but I didn't.
If he wants to escape, he has to escape on his own, I'm not risking my own life for him, I still have a chance, but we're on an island, the police will find me at one point.
I'm not going to waste my time.
I'm going to stay in Sam's good books for now.
