"But Pepps-" Before he could finish his sentence, Tony was defiantly cut off by Pepper, who wasn't all comfortable with this either. "I'm sorry, Tony. But I can't do it anymore! I have to leave." His hand reached out to touch her cheek, but she turned her head, just before he contacted with her skin. "Goodbye, Tony." He slowly withdraw his hand, as she grabbed her suitcase and walked towards the elevator. His saddened, brown eyes followed her figure and looked into her eyes for maybe the final time. "Pepper..." He whispered, as the doors slowly closed. Then she was gone, the only woman he had a serious relationship with, the only woman he might have loved. But now she was gone and she was never to return again. Angrily, Tony slammed his hands onto the table, knocking over a vase. He looked more like the Hulk than Iron Man, as he was demolishing everything in his path. Eventually he slid down against the wall, tears filling his eyes. "Sir, we have a visitor." Announced Jarvis. Tony merely waved his hand at that comment. "It's Thor, sir." Even worse, were Tony's thoughts. Groaning he got up and walked towards the bar, pouring himself a drink. "I'm busy." He replied, taking a chug of alcohol. "He has left, sir." Jarvis announced and Tony let out a sigh of relief. Yet, the quiet didn't stay interrupted for long, as a large hand knocked angrily onto the glass panel, that separated the landing-pad from the actual room. "Open the door, Jarvis." Tony commanded, sounding rather exhausted, knowing his fate was inevitable. The large, blonde god walked into the room, his cape swaying behind him. But his once brave and mighty steps, were now taken with slumped shoulders and a saddened face. "Whataya doing here?" Tony asked, taking another chug from the glass. "I have heard you have the most and best beverages of all Midgard." Answered Thor, but even his booming voice was quieter. There was certainly something wrong with the blonde. Tony went to grab another glass, but the god didn't bother waiting and took a sip of the alcoholic drink, tasting it first, before taking a rather large sip. "What's up, Shakespeare?" Tony asked, using a nickname, just to distract himself. "Maiden Jane has left me." Thor answered, his voice quiet for once. "That sucks, big guy." Tony replied, taking another chug. "What about you?" Thor asked, also taking another chug, straight from the bottle. "Pepper's gone." Tony answered, his heart aching a bit. "My apologies, man of iron." Tony shrugged at Thor's words and took another chug, only to find out his glass was empty. He grabbed another bottle of liquor and poured his glass again. Suddenly an idea popped into his mind and he grabbed another glass. Thor eyed the brunette with a small smirk, as the brown-haired man filled both glasses and handed Thor one. They clinked the glasses against each other's and downed the drink. Tony refilled the glasses and they repeated the actions. And so it went on, until Tony slumped down, empty bottles surrounding him. Thor shouted in victory and threw his glass on the ground, while yelling: "Another!" With shaky hands he grabbed the half-empty bottle and drank all of the beverage. His vision became even more blurred, if that was even possible, and he slid down the bar, laughing stupidly. "I beat you, man of iron." He managed to say and patted Tony on the shoulder, who was out cold. Thor reached out and managed to grab another bottle on top of the bar, pull it down and take a big chug. After he drank most of it, it slipped out of his hands and rolled over the flour, spilling amber-coloured liquid. Thor's eyes began to close and he fell forward, his face flat on the floor, his mouth slightly ajar.

In that position he also woke up. He noticed that Tony was still out cold and hadn't moved an inch either. Groaning, the god hoisted himself to his feet, gripping onto the bar and clutched his head, as his head started throbbing. It was to be expected that he would have a hangover. He grabbed Tony's collar and dragged him towards the bedroom, where he laid him down on the king-sized bed. The blonde himself walked back to the kitchen and filled two glasses with water. One he put on the nightstand next to Tony's bed and the other he drank himself.

The first thing Tony noticed when he stirred awake, was that he was lying on something soft. This wasn't the place he passed out last night. He shot up in his bed and looked around the room. Everything seemed normal, except from the glass of water on his nightstand. Grateful, he grabbed it and downed it quickly. Then he was on his way to find some aspirins, to ease the throbbing. He found some in a cupboard in a kitchen and took the bitter medicines. He stumbled towards the couch, only to find it occupied by a certain god's body. "Thor." Tony softly whined, the sound hurting his head. Thor groaned and opened one eye. He groaned again and made place for the billionaire. Tony sat down and nodded his head, which he should not have done, as another wave of pain engulfed them. The rest of the day they spend on the couch, hanging around, doing nothing.

At the end of the day, the pain was mostly gone and the two Avengers could move freely. The bell rang, as Tony had ordered pizza. Both men were incredibly hungry, so when the pizza arrived, they both jumped on it. When their stomachs were filled, Thor had wandered off towards the balcony, claiming he needed some fresh air. Tony followed him a couple minutes later. "I must thank you, man of iron." Thor said, still looking out over the city. "You're welcome." Tony replied, shrugging, looking at the thunderer, instead of the city. "Is it too early to think I like someone else?" The playboy asked out of the blue. Thor turned to the brunette and rose an eyebrow. "I suppose not." He answered, after a long silence. Tony nodded, processing the answer. "If I may ask, who is it?" Tony bit his lip at the question and looked away from the blonde. "Doesn't matter." He eventually replied. "Oh, so you do not want to find out whom I took a liking in?" The god asked, smirking. The philanthropist sighed and looked back at Thor. "Okay, we'll guess. I'll guess first." Tony proposed and Thor nodded in agreement. "Uh... Natasha?" Thor shook his head. Tony shuddered, before guessing again. "Maria?" Thor shook his head. Tony let out a sigh of relief, before saying the first name that popped into his mind. "Well, then... uh... Steve?" Thor shook his head. "My turn." The god announced. "Maiden Darcy?" Tony burst into a fit of chuckles, at the guess. "I suppose that is a no. Very well. Maiden Melinda?" Tony shook his head, stifling a laugh. "Maiden Jemma?" Tony shook his head again. "Okay, you've gotta gimme a hint." Tony said, but Thor shook his head. "You must ask a question." Tony pursed his lips and pondered over what question he could ask. "Avenger?" He eventually asked, starting with the basics. Thor nodded, for the first time. Tony knew it wasn't Natasha, nor Steve. "Clint?" Thor laughed and shook his head. "Bruce?" And again a shake. Tony almost gave up. There were no more Avengers. He recounted the group again and again. Clint, Natasha, Bruce, Steve, Thor and who else? Suddenly it dawned upon him. "Me?" Finally, the Northman nodded. Tony blinked stupidly, trying to process it. Then he reached up, grabbed the collar of Thor's shirt, brought him down and smashed his lips onto the god's.
