Roses are red, violets are blue. I'd never hang out with the likes of you.

Jinx POV

"Gold, jewels, priceless artefacts---way better than the mall. Hive Five, rob 'em blind!" I commanded as we charged into the Museum. Since the Teen Titans weren't here, this would be easy. I hated being upstaged by them---why couldn't we win just once? My eyes scanned over the room to find what I was looking for, and finally landed on a special gold necklace with a ruby set in the middle---the Coronian Jewel, rumoured to bring good luck to whoever holds it---and I sure needed some of that right now. As I made my way towards its display case, I went over to advise the others about some of their---uh, questionable choices.

Billy stood by the Ancient Egyptian jars, his multiples holding up one each. As much as I wanted to see them actually try to tolerate that stink at home, I really didn't want the whole H-tower smelling like rotting flesh.

"You know they put in those things, don't you?" I asked as I came in front of them, trying to sound as mean as possible. "Mummy guts."

I waited for their show of disgust, then left.

I made my way over to the glass display case that contained the Coronian Jewel (seriously, who puts a priceless gem in a glass case??) and hexed it, causing it to fall apart cleanly. As I reached for the necklace, See-more peeked over my shoulder. "Hey, isn't that necklace supposed to bring good luck? But if you're all about the bad luck-"

"It's just a dumb legend," I snapped, brushing past him.

With our loot, we headed out. Ahh, the satisfaction of successfully stealing something for once, without the interference of the stupid Teen Titans!

Suddenly, a burst of wind blew past, somehow replacing all of the others' loot with other stuff. The precious Coronian Jewel in my hand was replaced by a red rose as well. I wanted to scream in frustration. I wanted---no, I needed that gem! Whoever did that was going to pay dearly.

---------------

The others all wanted to shoplift some boring stores and a stupid taco stand when we could've been figuring that do-gooder out!

When they came back, all with failed robberies, I had to hide a smirk. Now they would focus on catching that do-gooder and turning him in to the Brotherhood of Evil. If we captured whoever that was, they might even offer us a place within their ranks! But none of them wanted to help. Idiots! All idiots!

I walked back to the museum to get the Coronian necklace back, but there was added security around the entrance. Ha! Not a problem for the likes of me. I zapped them all and casually strode in. With any luck (oh, the irony!), my plan would work and I would catch the person who stopped us.

A voice rang out from behind me as I reached for the necklace.

"Need a little luck?"

I turned to face a ginger boy with blue eyes in a red-and-yellow spandex suit and a mask of the same colour scheme leaning against a pillar. "It's only a min---who are you?"

"Kid Flash. Fastest boy alive," he quipped, zooming over to a display case to demonstrate his ability.

"Are you supposed to be a good guy or something?" I questioned, eyeing him.

He looked at his gloved fingernails. "One of the best." He didn't seem nervous at all, like he was talking to someone who he'd known for a looong time.

I crossed my arms and glared at him. "Well, aren't you gonna take me to jail?"

H shrugged and walked up the steps leading towards me. "I thought I'd get to know you first." At his answer, I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Why do you hang out with those losers anyway? That team of yours is only holding you back."

"I know---that's what I keep telling---" I crossed my arms again. No way was I about to tell a do-gooder about my personal life. "What do you know?"

"I know that you're too smart for all this."

My Hive communicator started to vibrate silently in my pocket. The others were coming! Now all I had to do was keep this... Kid Flash talking.

"Is this the part where you convert me? Make me see the 'error of my ways' ? You're wasting your time."

"When you're as fast as me, time is something you've got plenty of." Kid Flash zoomed away, then back in, wearing an artist's cap and holding a bag of goodies. "It's never too late."

I turned back and saw a glimpse of the others standing behind the doors. Good. I only had to lead Kid Flash on for a few more moments. "But what about the Hive Five? They'd come after me."

"I wouldn't worry about that." Oh yes, you should, I thought.

"Where will I go? What will I do?" I said dramatically, putting a hand to my brow.

He gave me a hand, staring at me intensely with those clear sky-blue eyes. "Trust me."

And for one terrifying second, I actually thought about taking his hand. Hey, Jinx, I chided myself. You. Are. A. Villain. "A second thought... nah." I blasted Kid Flash as the cue for the others to come in.

After that, capturing him was easy.
