A day
Full of joy
All that good stuff
As good as it could have been.
After a trip was canceled
A day
I was ready for
I needed it
I hadn’t lost all hope.
And it was everything I wanted
Everything I wanted.
Except one missing piece
The smallest things matter
That’s what I’ve learned
This tiny piece
Flips the whole world
When it’s gone
Like the eye
Seeing everything backwards
The brain has to flip it
And this one piece
I miss it
No denying the truth
But I’ll wait
And soon
I’ll find
That piece
And be
In peace.
