Thomas & Friends - A Week in America

Flying High - Part 2

The next morning, everyone woke up very early. Before they got ready, they went to the kitchen to make either toast, tea or coffee. Thomas yawned. "Well guys, today is the day!", "Yay! I can't wait!" cried James and Gordon at the same time.

It was now 4:20am and everyone were at the airport getting ready to board the plane. "I haven't been on a plane in years," commented Edward. They all got in the plane. James and Gordon were sitting next to the window and Thomas, Percy and Edward sat together in the middle row as well as Emily, Toby and Henry.

The flight attendant then got everybody's attention. "This will be a long flight so be sure to clip on your seat belts. There's breathing masks above you in case of danger. We will be departing in 5 minutes.

Thomas and his friends were excited. Then everyone on the plane heard the whirring of the engines. As the plane moved down the runway, the front wheels lifted up into the air and they were off.

The plane was soon above Sodor, Gordon looked out through the window and could see nothing but clouds. He sighed. "I'm going to miss Sodor," he said. The others agreed. A few minutes later, the flight attendant came down with a little trolley with drinks. She came to Thomas and his friends.

"Hello! What would you guys like to drink?" she asked. Thomas, Percy and Toby chose coke, James, Gordon and Henry chose Fanta and Emily and Toby chose sprite. "Enjoy your drinks!" she said and walked off.

Later, the friends were still chatting except for Percy; he was asleep. "It's so boring!" wailed James. "Be patient, James. We still have a few hours till we get to Miami," replied Edward. James just grumped grumpily.

"I think I'm going to watch something," said Henry and turned on the mini television that was on the back of Edward's seat. "Hmmmmm, ahh. Netflix, here I come! Wow, there are a lot of brilliant shows and movies on here! What should I watch?", "Why don't you watch '13 Reasons Why'?" suggested Toby.

"Is it good?" Henry asked. "I've seen all thirteen episodes last week. It's quite interesting and disgusting. Mind you, it has swear words," replied Toby. "Okay then. Yeah I'm not gonna watch it," said Henry. Toby laughed.

James was talking to Edward and Emily to pass the time. Gordon was listening to music on his phone. Thomas and Percy were watching 'Speed' by Keanu Reeves and Henry and Toby were watching High School Musical.

"I love this movie!" cried Thomas. "Keanu Reeves is a good actor," replied Percy as they were watching the movie. "Ooh, this is the part where Jack tries to get into the bus," said Percy. "This is my favourite part!" cried Thomas and they continued watching the movie.

Meanwhile, James, Edward and Emily were having a conversation. "Who's better? Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?" Emily asked. James and Edward thought for a moment. "Cristiano all the way!" Edward exclaimed. "Wrong! It's Messi!" said James back. They then starting arguing.

"*sighs* Why did I ask that?" Emily asked herself and just got out her phone and went on Instagram. James and Edward soon grew out of the argument and started talking about their favourite places in Sodor.

Then the flight attendant came around to ask everyone what they would like to eat for breakfast. Thomas and Gordon chose cereal with an apple. James and Toby chose toast with coffee. Percy and Edward had bacon and eggs as well as Emily and Henry. "I'll be back with your breakfast in a few minutes," said the flight attendant and walked away.

"I hardly can wait!" cried Toby. "We'll be there soon, and then, we're gonna have the time of our lives," said Thomas.
