Chapter 6

"Wait! Me be your girlfriend, hang on hang on. We just met today!" She yells from surprise as she heard his words. "Please just for my birthday." He spills out his birthday that he hates mentioning, moving away back into his spot on the couch "Wait! YOUR BIRTHDAY!" Her voice grew louder, "I mean! If I have a date for my birthday then I don't have to marry, her. I'll invite you as my date!" He says giving 'her' a different tone. As Suzuki is still lost in his words she takes a minute to recap what he said. "Yeah um? Sure I'll do it so does that mean we will h-have to h-hold ha-nds?" Her voice stumbling over that little phrase, her face growing pinker by the minute. "Y-yeah." He says moving his arm behind his neck blushing as well. Silenced filled the air, until a few minutes later Suzuki spoke, "If you want you can take a shower. I'll go grab some clothes. For you." She says getting out of her seat. "Ah yeah sure thank you,". Suzuki came back with a set of clothes and a towel, and hands it to him. "The bathroom is just down the hall to your right." She says pointing him the way.

He came out the shower wearing the clothes that was given to him. "I'm sorry for intruding your boyfriend must be angry." He says, while drying his hair off. "Huh? Oh no I don't have a boyfriend." She says waving her hands from side to side. "Those are my brother's clothes." She adds on. "Do you live by yourself?" He asks, taking a seat on the coach, "yeah.", "how old are you?" He asks. "Hmmm, how old am I? I am 16 last time I checked. What about you? Your birthday is soon isn't it?." She says as if she is old and can't remember her own age. "I'm 17, my birthday is on the 18th of March" as he said those words her eyes went blank. "Is there something wrong, Suzuki?" He asks as her as she turned pale. She snapped out of it and look him in his turquoise eyes, "huh oh um, no nothing it's just that's my ah younger brothers birthday. I'm feeling a little light headed. Do you mind, if I go sleep now?" She says. "Um yeah sure go ahead I'll sleep later, get some rest.". She gave him a small smile as she left.
