Friend

I was broken a long time ago

And that time, I didn't know who was a friend or foe.

You were there at my side,

To guide me the way to what was right.

You were my inspiration within my desolation

without returning me to my regression. 

Amidst the people who were around you, 

You've chosen me to be beside you.

I may be wrong if I say such thing, 

for friendship conquers most things.

But why does my heart say something different,

I don't want my story to be recurrent! 

But I know in my soul that for now I must let go

In order for the two of us to grow. 

For now it's goodbye to these feelings inside

In order for me to stay by your side.
