This day makes everyone in Goryeo into busy, the day King Gojong born. At the palace the servants are busy preparing for this special day. The ministers gathered at banquet hall of the palace.

"I wonder what gift our Majesty wants." Prime Minister Choe said.

"Of course he want expensive things." Minister Oh said.

"The King is here!" a voice echoed all over the hall.

They rise to welcome the king. Gojong went in his throne beside him is his queen, Anhye.

"We are happy to have you Majesty. Mansae! Mansae! Mansae! (Long live! Long live! Long live!)" They said in unison.

Gojong smirked. He loves to see how his puppet turn down themselves for him. He glance at his wife beside him, she has no expression at all.

"You don't like the attention?"

"I'm not you, Your Majesty." she rolled her eyes.

"Can you act more naturally, my dear wife? I know you are great actress." he mocked.

"Really? You should be careful of me." she chuckles.

"The chief minister of Qing dynasty is here, Your Majesty." His eunuch inform him.

"Let him enter." Gojong said with full of authority.

The chief minister enter with a wealth with him.

"I offer this to you as a present to abide friendly relation within our nations." He said while pointing the wheelbarrow full of authentic relics from Qing. (Pronounce as ching)

The king furrowed his brow. Gojong seems displease in his offer.

"Do you think I am undervalue?" he distort.

"That's not my intention, Your Majesty."

Anhye show her wretched face to everyone. His king was a dumb to decline the offer.

"Why?" Gojong asked while staring at her.

"You are a dumb to decline that such of offer." She whispered.

"Watch and learn how I manage my nation."

'What an arrogant jerk.' Anhye said in herself.

"As you can see, our military base can fall anytime." he started.

The highest officials divert their gaze to Choe Chungheon. Choe's family is in charge of military.

"And I heard that Qing dynasty is more stable in terms of military service. I would like to deploy with your troupe here in Goryeo."

"But—." Choe cut off.

"Prime Minister Choe do you think you did your best for our country?"

Chungheon clenched his jaw. 'In this way you want to kick me out? Try me Paeha.'

"I will tell your reform to our Emperor." he politely said.

"I would love to hear what your Emperor decision and of course our future relation."

"I will send your gratitude to him."

Gojong lean towards his wife beside him.

"See?"
