Betrayed.
Ditched.
Shahmir felt like a train just shattered his mind into pieces.
His heart was distributed into pieces.
Pieces of glass.
He was able to feel his heart bleeding.
He didn't want to believe what he was watching. He wanted to open his eyes to save himself from this bad dream.
But, this wasn't a dream.
The happiness on Kashaf's face, the satisfaction in her eyes, the affection in Umar's gestures, this was all happening.
This was not a dream.
Shahmir stood there for a few seconds and then decided to walk to the table.
He reached to the table and stood there in silence, scanning the faces of Umar and Kashaf.
Kashaf looked up, so did Umar, and they both were bewildered to see him there, standing on their heads.
'Would you mind if I join you guys?' Shahmir said, calmly.
Kashaf and Umar were in a state of shock.
'Look, Shahmir..' Umar said but Shahmir caught him in the mid of sentence.
'No Umar no, I can't look. I am all blind, I can't see anything now except the dead body of my trust and love. I can't hear anything, except the painful screaming of the friendship we had between us. Can you hear me crying?' Shahmir laughed, feeling the salty taste of tears in his throat.
'See Shahmir..' Kashaf tried to speak. Shahmir looked at her with that wounded expression in his eyes.
'What Kashaf? Is there something you have to explain, or are you just accepting that you both ditched me?' His voice had so much pain in it. He was feeling the deep feeling of betrayal cutting his heart with a knife.
'What? Did we ditch you? Seriously? Umar, I think we're now done with this pathetic melodrama, let's tell him the truth.' Kashaf said, bitterly.
'So Mr. Shahmir Sikander, I and Umar love each other, and honestly, after meeting Umar I have realized that I never loved you. You were never the man I have been looking all my life. It was just an attraction, which we thought was love. So we got married, but that doesn't at all mean that I fell in love with you. I married you just because I thought that you will fulfill my dreams, you will give me the life I wanted, but OH MY GOD, look at you, YOU ARE A COMPLETE LOSER SHAHMIR. I swear there wasn't a single moment in our married life where I felt that you can do something in your life. You know what Shahmir? You can do nothing, absolutely nothing except crying over the messed up things in your life. I am so done with you.' She said in a sharp tone.
Shahmir stood like a sculpture there, it was so hard to believe what he just heard from the love of his life. He loved this woman more than his own life and what just she said?
'I and Umar want to get married as soon as possible. I cannot live with a loser like you anymore because now it is out of my patience. I will be filing the case for divorce tomorrow, so it's better if you divorce me without any further delay.' As soon as Kashaf finished the sentence, she grabbed the arm of Umar and went away.
And here Shahmir was.
Standing, holding the dead body of the trust he did on Kashaf.
Holding his broken heart.
Wounded emotions.
He felt himself drifting away.
He somehow managed to get out of the hotel.
As he was walking through the streets, he felt that everyone is laughing at him, everyone knows that he is a such a loser, he is so unwanted.
He entered the park, with his packed stuff. He didn't know what to do next with his life, it was getting unbearable minute by minute. He just wanted to escape from everything.
He sat there till it was dark, and then it rained heavily, nothing changed his posture.

'But Kashaf, I need to explain him this, I can't leave him like this. Why don't you understand?' Umar spoke. Kashaf eyed at him like he was some kind of idiot.
'Umar, we don't need him now, so what is the use of going to him when you can do nothing for him?' Kashaf said.
'I am trying his cell phone since last 12 hours and it's still switched off, he left home this afternoon and I know he is having no other place to live, he is my best friend Kashaf, I can't leave him like this.' Umar said in his final tone and left the house.
He exactly knew where Shahmir would be, but he didn't know that in which condition he would be.
When he reached the park, it was too late.
Shahmir was dead, under the greenwood tree. Once where they used to play together.
