Kotori X Female! Reader: Love Marginal[1/3]

"I'll go ahead, see you later!" Kotori said as she smiled and got on the evening train to take her home. As soon you were out of sight, her lips began to quiver and her vision blurred as painful emotions and thoughts ran through her.

"Why can't I just tell you how I feel...?" She whispered softly to herself.

She wanted nothing more than to confess her love but on the other side, she just wanted to forget her love for you and stay as friends. The feeling ripped her heart into pieces, thoughts that you wouldn't like her because she was a girl or because that she was only a friend of yours, it crushed and shattered her already cracked heart and soul.

As she softly wept, she leaned her head against the window of the train, watching the different sceneries change along with the lighting of the sky.

She sighed, trying to occupy herself with other thoughts but she could only think of you.

There was a boy, around your age, he was smart and handsome, that you had begun talking with a lot recently. This made Kotori's slowly drying eyes water more. It broke her heart when she had that the thought that you could have feelings for him.

She often dreamt of being close to you, the way lovers were. Holding hands, falling asleep together, kissing softly with the snow fluttering around the both of you. She wanted the happiness and feelings that lovers had for one another with you, but she knew this would never come true.

"My desires, they cause me pain... My wish to be with you is so very selfish... Dammit, I love you..." Kotori whispered to herself, bringing her sleeve to her cheek and wiping her eyes softly.

Sitting up, Kotori looked out the window and saw that it was time for her to exit the train. Grabbing her belongings, once the train stopped, she got off and began proceeding to walk home, however on the way she had run into you, who had walked out of a convenient store.

"Kotori!" You shouted softly to her, catching her attention. Jogging over to her, you offered to walk her home being as you were concerned for your friend.

"That would be wonderful..." She said.

"Great! I was so worried for you!" You said back, taking off your jacket and placing it on her. She looked at you with a confused expression.

"Well, I wouldn't want you to be cold so..." You said, softly blushing. She smiled, giving you a quiet "thank you."

Kotori smiled to herself, happy that you did something that a lover would typically do to one another, but then had a thought and her eyes began watering. She blinked back the tears quickly, however, looking down at your jacket that was protecting her from the cold air. She smiled.

'Never, will I truly be able to tell you how I feel, but that's alright because you're my friend, Y/n.'
