Hanayo looked at you from afar, holding hands with your boyfriend, smiling and laughing. She had lost you, all because she couldn't confess. Feeling her eyes swell up, she ran to the other side of the schoolyard and began to cry. She was your friend but the problem was that she had developed stronger feelings for you but couldn't show them.
Leaning against a tree, Hanayo took a deep breath and tried to regain herself. It was done now. The battle for your heart between her and the boy was over and Hanayo didn't even put up a fight, knowing that even if she tried to confess her words would get stuck in her throat. Hanayo looked down at the flowers in the grass and began to cry while smiling, remembering a conversation she had with her mother when she was younger.
~Flashback~
"Um mother?" Little Pana asked softly.
"Why do the nicest people always get taken away?" Her mother sighed, patting her lap, signaling for her daughter to come sit down. Hanayo did as she was told and asked her question once more.
Why do the nicest people always get taken away?
Her mother responded with a simple response, "Which flowers do you pick in a garden first? The most pretty ones, right?"
Hanayo nodded, understanding what her mother was saying and left the room.
~End of Flashback~
Sniffling at the memory, Hanayo wiped her eyes and whispered, "Yeah, the most beautiful ones. You're a beautiful flower that someone managed to get before me." Hanayo stood up and reached into her bag for something. A pen and paper.
Hanayo didn't know why she was doing this, it was only going to hurt her in the end but even so, she poured her heart onto that paper in feelings a normal person without these feelings couldn't even begin to understand. She folded the piece of paper and slipping the paper into her pocket, she began to make her way to your locker. Slow steps were taken as she hesitated, thinking if this was really the right decision. A million of negative thoughts ran through her mind but she ignored them all and finally, there she stood with a note in front of your locker.
Taking a deep breath, Hanayo dropped the note into your locker and sighed, it was too late now. Not having any regrets, Hanayo made her way to her class with her head held high.
'You are my beautiful flower, and I don't care who picked you but you will be mine. I swear it.'
{So, this series is finally finished, thank God. I don't know how much more my heart can take. I feel like Hanayo's was rushed and but I also think I did mildly well on it. Well, that's it for me, stay awesome everyone! ~Sakaki}
