Lost in thoughts: An OhmCartoonz Fanfiction [Kingdoms Rise Book 1]

The Monster

Dark Knight Cartoonz turned his head to the prince, who was afraid.
"If the beast comes near, I won't let it get you."
He said as he looked around for the monster.
"....Thank you.."
The prince said as he put out the small fire. After wandering around for an hour or so, Cartoonz finally saw the damned monster.
The monster had horns like a deer, sharp yellow glowing eyes, sharp teeth, and its back was covered in spikes, like a porcupine.
Dark Knight Cartoonz took out his sword and attacked the beast.
The beast roared with anger as it ran at Cartoonz. It slashed at the dark knight but the monster missed. Dark Knight Cartoonz took his sword and sliced the back of the monster, which only made it angrier then before. Before the monster could hurt him, Dark Knight Cartoonz saw a sword hit directly into the monster's head. The monster fell dead on the ground as the prince went to retrieve his sword.
"...You saved me, but why?"
Dark Knight Cartoonz curiously asked as he got up off the ground.
"...You were in danger, and I wanted to start fighting again.. for my kingdom."
The prince said coldly as he put his sword away.
"Oh, well thanks anyway."
Dark Knight Cartoonz said as he put away his sword.
"Let's go back to camp and get ready to go back to the kingdom."
"...fine."

Dark Knight Cartoonz and the prince walked on the trail until the prince suddenly stopped.
"Something wrong..?"
Dark Knight Cartoonz asked the prince.
Then he realized something horrible. The prince was looking at his kingdom from a distance.
"My home..... its destroyed.."
The prince quietly said with tears in his eyes.
"Hey, it will be ok, if you're kingdom wins the war I'll help you rebuild-"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN "WIN THE WAR?!" YOU'RE LUCKY YOU EVEN HAVE A BROTHER THAT'S STILL ALIVE! I WATCHED MY FATHER DIE IN FRONT OF ME AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF MY MOTHER OR GENERAL BRYCE IS EVEN ALIVE!"
The prince shouted. Then the prince covered his mouth in shock as tears were flooding from his eyes.
Dark Knight Cartoonz did something that was unthinkable to do when you're a Dark Knight. He hugged the prince and said
"You will never be alone, I'm here for you."
