Adam's POV

*buzz buzz*

I groaned and turned over as I felt my phone vibrate. I wondered who could possibly be calling me at six in the morning. I rubbed my eyes and grabbed my phone to see that it was a message alert.

Message from Leviticus:
-hey are you up?

-yeah, why?

I instantly pondered on why Levi was up at such an early time. Before I could even sigh and go back to sleep, my phone buzzed again.

Message from Leviticus:
-i couldn't sleep and I had a nightmare. :(

I pitched up and yanked my phone off of charge. His nightmare spiked an interest in me because who needs sleep when your boyfriend is having a nightmare?

-are you okay? What happened?

-it's nothin important, just a bad scare

-are you sure Levi?

-Very.

-are you going back to sleep?

-yes, I'll see you at school :)

-will do, night Leviticus ;)

(TRIGGER WARNING!)

I clicked off my phone and stumbled into the bathroom. I splashed my face with stinging cold water before drying it and opening my bathroom drawer. I pulled out a pack of razors and took a single one out for my personal use.

When will you learn to stop?

My mind screamed this thought at me but the more I look in the mirror, -at my eyes, at my back, and at my arms- the more my heart yells back the reply.

When I'm dead.

I took the razor in my hands and placed it over my lower wrists. I glanced up at myself in the mirror, taking a big intake of breath before slicing my skin open. I hissed at the slight sting of the blade against my skin but deep down inside, this pain is what I crave to stay alive.

I did this over and over, slice after slice, until both of my wrists were dripping blood. I looked at my feet, with tears threatening to spill but I wouldn't be weak and let them.

Killing yourself is weak Adam, cutting shows strength.

And that's what I believed until now. Now, all I believe is that Levi is my strength. Now two broken stars fused and became one.

Now two dim souls kiss and ignite with mutual anguish.

I walked into my shower, making sure the water was burning hot. I stripped down with blood still dripping everywhere as I padded on the grey tiles. I stood in place as the water cascaded down my back to the floor and that's when the waterworks came.

I sat crouching on the floor, sobbing as my skin turned a bright pink from the hot water. I stayed in this position until I felt the water go cold.

I finally decided to wash my body down as I stared at the newly formed cuts on my skin. It brought me peace and showed how the body is so delicate yet so strong. I then rinsed my body off and walked into my room soaking wet.

I threw on my school outfit of the day even though my alarm doesn't go off until the next forty-five minutes. I contemplated on what breakfast I should cook for my father on the way to the kitchen. I settled for an easy homemade breakfast sandwich, placing it in the microwave before grabbing my things and jogging outside.

I peeked up at the orange-pink hue the sun was giving the sky as it rose so beautifully. I walked to the nearest café to grab breakfast and a cup of coffee and sat in a seat scrolling through messages until the bell ringed and Levi walked in.

Levi's POV

I was running late to the café for my daily dose of caffeine. I had an early morning class to help me on the things I missed during the time of my parents' deaths. I jogged through the door, looking around for a spot to sit in until my eyes landed on Adam.

Why was he here?

I quickly walked to the counter to place my order and sat in front of him. He looked up at me and smiled with those pearly white teeth of his. He looked happy at his mouth but I looked in his eyes and they were cloudy with emotions I knew too well.

Pain and sorrow.

I reached out for his hand and rubbed his knuckles slowly and softly. He didn't seem to feel the need to talk so I stared out the café window until my cup was placed in front of me.

I started thinking about how passionately he kissed me and how he asked me to date him. I had been lost in the world and he managed to pull me out.

I looked back at him only to see him staring past my head while biting his lip.

I wonder if he thinks about me the way I think about him.

I tapped his hand and he immediately turns his eyes and stares into mine. He raised his eyebrow indicating that he's listening then took a bite out of his sandwich.

"I'm heading to school now, it's already 6:37 and I have to head to my classes."

"Are you walking there?" He asked me softly.

"Yeah, uhm, I am actually," I replied nervously.

"Good. I'll walk with you then."

"N-no you don't have ... have to w-walk with...me," I stammered. He raised his eyebrow again and pulled me up with him. We grabbed our things and he walked with me, his hand on my back, out the café.

The walk to school was short and silent as we parted ways. He hadn't uttered a word the entire time so I just pulled his hand on the short journey.

When we arrived, all he did was mutter an 'i'll see you in second period' before walking somewhere I didn't know.

I was on my way to class when I was pinned down on a wall by three cheerleaders and two football jocks.

"We know all about your little fling with Adam," said one cheerleader.

"He may not be a football player but he's still apart of our team," said another jock.

"You stay away from Adam with your faggot ways and we'll leave you be like nothing ever happened," the cheerleader said.

"And if I don't?" I asked smartly.

"Just wait and see punk," the jock sneered.

They all laughed in my face before one of them punched me in my face. I groaned and was let loose after two more hits. I stumbled to the classroom, pulling my hoodie over my head.

Is this day going to get any worse?
