Inhale.

I dragged him along with me into the street as if I were a child dragging their mother to a candy stall. He let me lead him through many corners, alleyways and through a broken fence to the wonder I called my second home.

"Ta da!" I yelled with some sort of peace in my eyes as I soon closed them to take in the wind.

I sensed his presence behind me but I couldn't bother, for I was in my comfort zone. I snapped my eyes open and stared down at the heavy traffic moving to and fro. I had a small grin on my face before hearing him clear his throat behind me.

"Is this it?" He asked with slight amusement to his tone. My smile faltered before turning into a full frown.

"You can't possibly be serious! This is like a getaway. Even better, a paradise!" I exclaimed. How can someone not enjoy this? It's like peace in a physical form.

"I don't see much honestly. It seems like you're just overreacting," he deadpanned.

I glared at him before turning around and sitting at the edge of the cliff. I sighed and dropped my hair into my hands. I tugged at my hair with as much might I could bring out and screamed.

I was done with the judgement right now. I screamed for my parents, screamed for my education, screamed for humanity and I screamed the loudest for myself. I broke down and screamed for what felt like hours. No one can hear me all the way up here.

I sighed and peeked up at the clouds. They were moving slowly and were so white and thick. I wish I could just float around all the time and sometimes ruin the day.

I stood up and glared at Adam before muttering a 'let's go' and walked off. He didn't respond so I stopped and craned my neck to see him looking at me red-faced again. I turned a complete one-eighty to look at him better.

"What's your problem? You judge my comfort and now won't leave when I say let's go?" I asked furiously.

"Well maybe if you weren't so quick to jump to conclusions you'd know what I have to say," he started. "Now I was blushing because you're cute when your dazing off into space."

I was astonished and could only gape like a fish at that. I stared at the ground and rotated my ankle around in the withering grass. I refused to look him in the eye because then I'd have to face the reality of why he ditched school.

He ditched because of me.

"So you're telling me Mr. Goody Two Shoes, that you ditched because of my gorgeous face?"

He snorted before muttering "don't flatter yourself." I couldn't help but have a lingering ghost smile on my lips. For once in a lifetime, someone, as special as Adam, is ditching school because of weak, little me. I peeked up through my long hair to see him looking out at the scenery.

It was still morning so we decided to stay and talk about anything that came to mind. He turns out to be really straightforward and blunt. Also, he's kind of cute when he laughs. He's like a porcelain figurine you can't touch in those really possessive people's houses.

"Well I'm hungry and we can't eat the grass here because I don't think it's all that nutritious."

I giggled and pulled him up with me and our foreheads collided. We both groaned and I heard a throaty chuckle escape his lips. My eyes wandered down to stare and his partially full lips. They were puckered as if they were ready for someone's lips (like mine) to crash against them.

I cleared my throat and pulled him with me to leave the cliff. He stared off into the sky as he zombied closer to my side.

"You know, you're cooler than people make you out to be," Adam commented. I huffed and dragged him into a decent café where we sat at the table and waited.

When a waitress came to take our order, I noticed her trying to flirt with us both to see who'd react. When neither of us batted an eyelash in her direction, she yanked our menus from our grasps.

I snickered and pulled my phone out to scroll through Tumblr. I giggled at some posts, reblogged most and liked all. When I peeped up, Adam was biting his lip and staring off into space. He snapped out of it when the waitress came back, placed our orders on the table and stormed off.

"So, did you think I was uncool?" I asked with some bitterness in my tone.

"Not really, no one ever talked to you to ever know what you were like," he replied. I hummed at this answer and took a sip of my cocoa.

"Also, what were you thinking about?"

"What do you mean?" He answered too quickly.

"I mean you were biting your lip while staring off into nothing."

"Well that's not an appropriate topic to discuss," he murmured.

"Ooh, Addy boy has some dirty thoughts. I like it."

He rolled his eyes and picked up his drink. We stayed in comfortable silence for a while until we noticed the time. School was soon ending so we decided to part ways early.

"You know, I hope you can bring me back at night. Maybe I can see what's so great about that place."

"Sure. Meet me here at 9?" I asked.

"Of course. See you tonight Levi."

"Later." With that he left and I was stuck in thoughts about him.

Was I crushing on him? Did I see him as a friend? Did he seriously call me cute?

I'm so fucked.
