Chapter 8: Blessing in Disguise
2 months after.
I'm on my bestfriends condo, bonding and chit chat.
"Okay na yung store, nakaayos na for the grand opening. Nakausap ko na din yung sa catering. Ikaw na lang talaga."My bestfriend and co-owner Elise.
"Thanks sis. I'm sorry. :("
I always feel dizzy and I always vomit and it’s already bothering me. Did I eat something rotten or whatever-food that can cause me this feeling? Waaaaa. I’m really annoyed. We are about to open our first store of accesories but it was always postponed because of me. Ayyyy! I hate it!
"Do you feel the same feeling again? Now?" She asked me.
"Yes :("
"Hmm, I think we should go and see a doctor."
So, I agreed to her and we decided to go and have my check up so we’ll see what’s really happening to me.
The doctor asked me things that might be a symptom for any sickness then had my urine tested.
Afterwards he came out of the laboratory room,
He smiled and said to me,
“Hija, what you’re feeling is normal. You have nothing to worry about.”
I just answered,
“Huh? Doc? I always feel sick and dizzy. I vomit often and then you will tell me that it’s normal?”
Then he smiled again and said,
“Hija, it’s really normal to feel those things, because you are 2 months pregnant. Congratulations!”
“Come again doc?” I said.
I looked at Elise, she was shocked and so was I. I don’t know. I felt so weird. I’m not deaf to not hear what he said but it’s like it didn’t sink in my mind and I have to hear it again for me to finally absorb it. Elise kept on rubbing my back for me to feel fine.
“HIja, you’re pregnant. You’re going to be a mother.”
