Chapter two - facing your fears
FLASHBACK
"Nicklaus, please just let me have a go, I won't hurt you brother" the ten year old Alison whined in her brothers ear as he held up his new sword, well the one he stole from mikael.
"No sister, I can not afford you hurting yourself, father will kill me" klaus looked at his younger sister in sympathy before they both looked over to their mother hanging clothes on the line.
"Maybe I shall go hang out with Caspar instead" she smirked, knowing full well that her brother despises Caspar, the town rebel.
"No, you will not Alison" he argued back, protecting his sister. The ten year old looked up into her brothers eyes and pleaded with him again.
"Then let me have a go with your sword" she asked again, klaus finally giving in. The curly headed brother nodded before the siblings made their way over to the fields in front of the lake.
"Here you go love" he whispered, handing his little sister the shiny sword. Alison looked at it, absolutely amazed and in love. She swirled the large sword around, past klaus, and almost slicing his arm.
"Watch out there sister" he huffed, stepping back and keeping his eyes on the sword. Alison laughed, it was like music to the everyone's ears. Hearing the Youngest mikaelsons laugh made everyone happy, especially her older brother klaus.
"Alison rose Mikaelson!" Their fathers voice boomed through the fields, Elijah following after him. Alison dropped the sword and gulped.
"What do you think you're doing child!" He yelled again, getting closer to the siblings, klaus stepped Infront of his sister and eyed his father filled with rage.
"Was this your idea Niklaus?" He asked the older sibling angrily, klaus nodded sheepishly, defending his sister as he knew what their father would do to her.
"How dare you" he hissed before lifting his arm up, ready to strike. Alison jumped Infront of her brother and squeeled as her fathers palm grazed against her face harshly. She looked down, face stinging and tears almost escaping but Alison was tough, she held them back and faced her father.
"Leave him alone father, it was my Idea" she yelled at him, getting angrier, not even a single bit scared of what he might do to her. Mikael eyed the youngest mikaelson and stared at her harshly.
"Leave now, we will deal with this at home child!" He yelled with anger in his voice, raising his hand again, except this time not striking. Alison winced at the pain that was still on her face and looked over to Elijah standing there, wide eyed.
"Darling sister, are you al-" he began asking, looking at his sister worried as she held her face, Alison cut him off.
"I'm fine brother"
There was a moment of silence before Elijah spoke up again as they made their way into the forest and home.
"You are extremely brave to face father like that, none of us would've ever done it" he grabbed his sisters shoulders and pulled her over so she was now facing him, Alison looked up with tears falling down.
"I hate him" she cried into his chest as he pulled her closer, Elijah hummed in response and gripped onto his sister tighter.
He hated seeing her go through the pain caused by their father every day.
