Jenny Brown from Surrey, was a huge fan of the Beatles. She'd have the records playing all day long on weekends. Like all other Beatle fangirls, she too had a crush on a Beatle...but it wasn't the typical Beatle (John or Paul) who she liked. It was Richard Starkey ie Ringo Starr.
She had first seen him in late 1963, when she was in a taxi. There was traffic so the taxi was at one spot for a long time. That's when she saw him smoking a joint with George Harrison. They had managed to cover their faces pretty well to avoid being seen by anyone...but the taxi was so close to the footpath where they were standing that Jenny could see him properly. Those beautiful blue eyes and adorable laugh had taken over her. She was desperate to meet the band one day...

*1965, Los Angeles*
By now Jenny had been to several Beatles concerts and what brilliant concerts they were! But, she was yet to meet the band. At first it was her nervousness that didn't let her go backstage...and now it was the gigantic crowds...
Jenny was currently modelling in USA She had been featured in two advertisements. She was at the studio where the photographer Gary was showing her photos from the advertisement. His assistant came to him. "I'm sorry I'm afraid I can't make it to the Beatles show at the Hollywood Bowl tonight. My father is sick and nobody's home. I have to stay and take care of him." Jenny heard that and went, "Gary, if you don't mind, may I come along with you to the show?" Gary was a very kind man. People could come up to him without any fear. Gary nodded, which made Jenny squeal. "Thank you Gary! Thank you so much!" She couldn't wait. She took the pass from the assistant to find out that her wishes were certainly coming true since "backstage included" was mentioned. Surely she was going to see them!

*At the start of the show*
Jenny and Gary had seats in the second row. They clapped as the four Beatles came onstage. Jenny was looking at Ringo. George noticed her and signaled Ringo. Ringo looked back at Jenny and waved. Jenny waved back with a wide smile. She couldn't wait to experience her first ever American Beatles concert!

*Backstage*
Jenny clutched Gary's hand as they made their way. Gary laughed and said, "Relax love! We wouldn't have to go through the huge mob! We shall be entering through the second door...and before the fans can enter." Calming down, Jenny said, "I'm sorry Gary I forgot I'm with a VIP haha"
They entered through the other door to find themselves a few steps away from the couch where the Beatles were seated. Paul got up. "Gary! So good to see you here!" Gary shook hands with Paul and said hello to the other three. He knew Paul better because of Jane Asher. George said, "Ah Gary who is this lovely lady with you? I saw her eyeing my friend Ringo." That made Jenny blush and look down at the floor. Gary chuckled. "Boys, this is Jenny Brown. A Britisher like you four! She's my muse and also a good friend." Jenny looked up and said, "Sorry I'm so nervous! This is the first time I'm coming backstage. I feel I'm in heaven right now." Ringo went to her and shook her hand. "Pleasure to meet you Jenny!" For a few seconds Jenny was still holding on Ringo's hand. After John cleared his throat she jolted and took it down. They all giggled. Ringo offered Jenny a seat on a chair next to the couch. She coyly sat down and kept tugging with her sleeves. "Very shy that girl eh?", John whispered to Gary. "Yes she is. Very shy. But one of the best muses I have!" He showed a photo of the advertisement which was in his bag since morning. Paul held it up. "My! You've got some nice eyes there young lady! Azure blue!" George then elbowed Ringo and went "Bluee just like Ringo!" Jenny turned red, and cupped her face. Mixed feelings of happiness of meeting the band plus being embarassed were being covered. Ringo kneeled on the floor, removed her hands from her face and looked her right in the eye. "Gee! You do have lovely eyes!" Jenny smiled. "Is it true you were looking at me throughout the show?" Jenny nodded and said, "You just completely charmed me! It's been 2 years since I saw you but after that I never got to go backstage. I don't think I have to remind you what huge amounts of fans are at every show! I'd be squished in the crowd for a long time. I'd just go back." Ringo smiled. "Well you're here now! Sorry the lads pick on you." Jenny smiled back and said, "No its okay! It was cute. To see the boys being themselves."
They talked for a few more minutes till Brian Epstein came from the vanity room to announce that the fans would be entering in 15 minutes. Gary shook hands with all four Beatles this time and with Brian and bid farewell. Jenny received a peck from Paul, a shake hand from Brian, John and George...and Ringo gave her a hug. Jenny could not believe she was hugging her crush. The hug lasted for almost a minute where Jenny had tears flooding endlessly. "Thank you for being so patient with this silly fangirl! You boys mean the world to me!" "Aw thank you Jen! We love our fans too!", said George. She waved goodbye and left with Gary.

*Outside the Hollywood Bowl*
Gary was going to drop Jenny to her apartment. They found a cab just outside. "Thank you so much Gary! You're the best!", said Jenny. "You said it so many times Jen enough! I'm glad you got to meet them. They're lovely lads!", replied Gary.

30th August 1965 was going to be a night Jenny would always cherish memories of!
