Cayden's POV-

When she walked into the cafeteria, I internally freaked out. Everytime I see her, I swear, she gets more beautiful. She walked through the line, and then over to her friends. But instead of sitting down with them, she waved, and walked towards the door to the lunch room. Before she turned the corner, I noticed in her hand, the only thing she had was a water. I frowned to myself, and sighed. She wasn't eating again.

Of course, Landan must of noticed something was up. He knew exactly what it was when after scanning my face and turning his head towards the door, right as she left.

"If you're worried about her, why don't you go talk to her? I mean how is she going to know you like her, if you like her from afar? Show some feelings, bro.", he said, nudging me in the side. I fidgeted in my seat, debating whether or not I should follow her.

"I don't want to see stalkerish or anything.."

He sighed heavily. "Just gooo." He smirked. "You know you want to."

I smiled, cause I really did.

"Ehh. I guess I'll go.", I said, standing up, and gathering my things.

I said bye to the rest of our group, and headed through the hallway, hoping I could find her.

                                                                     _______________

After ten minutes of searching the school, I found her in the library (thanks to the door she had left open.) She was sitting at an oak table, feet up, as she reclined in her chair, angled away from me. I was going to knock, but she seemed to be reading, so I let her be. I slowly walked into the room, not to disturb her. I didn't want to seem like I was creeping on her either. When I got to the table where she was, I slid into the chair, and smiled.

"Hello.", I said.

She peered up at me, her eyebrow slightly rising. She cocked her head to the side, confused as why I was here. "Uh..hi."

I looked down, embarrassed that I practically followed her here. I stared at my feet, and nervously shifted in my seat.

"So uh..uhm..I was wondering if maybe.....uh..I was wondering if I could borrow your history notes from the other day when I was absent?"

She gave me another strange look. "Oh. Uhhhhh sure."

She bent down and rummaged through her bookbag. She pulled out a black folder after putting away the book, and handed over the papers I "needed".

I smiled shyly. "Thank you."

She nodded, and smiled. "Oh, uh no problem.", she added softly. I looked down at my feet again, and ruffled my hair.

"So uh..what book are you reading?", I motioned to her bookbag, in which she placed the book in.

She smiled. "To Kill a Mockingbird."

I smiled back. That was one of my favorites.

The bell rang, singnaling that we had a five minute break to get to our classes. I grabbed the papers off of the table, and threw my backpack over my shoulder.

"Bye, Avaline", I waved. She turned and waved goodbye back, still putting away her things.

Avaline's POV-

The next day, I ended up being late to school because I forgot to put gas in the car the night before, and almost ran out on the side of the highway. Boy, wouldn't that of been a tragedy.

I pulled into the school parking lot right as my history class was supposed to be starting. I walked into the school office and got a late slip. As soon as I walked into the glass, I handed the teacher my slip, and went to sit next to Cayden. I mouthed a 'Good Morning' as I hurridly pulled out my things. He mouthed the same back to me, and we both smiled.

At the end of class, Cayden starting packing up his things.

"Oh, uh, Avaline, before I forget, here you go.", he smiled, as he handed me back my notes. "See you later,"

I thanked him and said goodbye, still packing up my things. But that's when I realized it. Scribbled across my piece of paper, was Cayden's phone number. My stomach burst into a million butterflies, and I blushed. I ripped off the piece that had his number on, and shoved the rest into my folder. I rushed out of the classroom, with a smile.
