But the next day there was a knock on my front door. I opened it and immediately Lindsey started rambling, "Okay so I've been knocking on every single door around Miles' house so you better talk to me and I don't know what I'm supposed to do in this situation. I had my brother drive me here at like 6:00 A.M."

I watched her stress out over everything at once. Her hair was flying around her as she flung her hands in the air. I out both my hands on her shoulders and pulled her in close, just hugging her because there's nothing else I could do.

She started crying and I felt her tears drip onto my neck, she wrapped her arms around my waist and I finally realized I was falling in love.

She lifted her head from my shoulder and said in a shaky voice, "I thought I said you had to talk to me." I chuckled and she giggled and soon enough she was out of my arms and we were inside sitting on my bed.

"Why did you come to my house and not Miles'?" I questioned.

"Because I know he loves me and I know he's heartbroken and I can't face the fact that I did that. Then right after I kissed you and you have a girlfriend. Now I'm basically just a home wrecker."

I thought about Willow and her beach lips and then I thought about Lindsey and her pink ones. Right when I looked up at Lindsey again, my doorbell rang. I got a text from Miles

From: Mile Mile

Hey, it's me. I'm at your door. We need to talk about Willow.

"Um, it's Miles." I said, and Lindsey wasn't even shocked. She just responded with, "I'll hide."

Lindsey darted into my closet and I was weary about the things she might find, but it was really the only option. I walked to the door and opened it to Miles asking why it took me so long to get there.

We went back into my room and he sat on my red beanbag chair like he always does.

"You know that time that Willow cheated on yo-"

"Yeah." I said without even letting him finish.

"It was like two months ago before I was dating Lindsey and it was me. She cheated on you with me. She was drunk and we had sex and it was my first time but not hers. I'm really sorry and that's part of the reason I'm so bad now after Lindsey left because she was kind of my shield from that. Now she is gone. I have no one but you and yeah I felt like we shouldn't have that between us even though you weren't even that mad when she cheated."

All I could think was goddamn, she told me she wouldn't drink again after she met me. I knew I was processing the information that Miles had had sex with my girlfriend and I had kissed his ex right after she became his ex. But I just couldn't respond.

Then I remembered, Lindsey was in my closet. I knew I should tell Miles about what I did but I knew Lindsey was there and I knew Miles took things way harder than me. Lindsey wouldn't be mad at me for telling, she is the kind of person that never gets mad.  In the end, I didn't tell Miles. My conscious was on my back about it until I told Miles to leave because I had hockey practice.

I did have hockey practice, but I also had a certain person in my closet.

"Boo." Lindsey came up behind me, saying a very monotonous 'boo' that was not supposed to be scary but I still jumped.

"Oh my god. Did you literally just get scared by that." She laughed and I slapped her back.

"Okay. Well. I want pancakes." She said, acting like I just had some laying around. "WAIT! No. I want waffles."

I couldn't help but think she was adorable and so I asked if she would like to go to my regular breakfast place. She had to be reassured they had waffles, but then she said yes. I love her.
